 Jumanji 3 Predictions
Well this will happen. It will obviously gross less than the first, but if they keep the same release date, maybe the drop wouldn’t be too bad.
I’d say it grosses 250-300m total. No idea what the opening or legs would be, but I’d guess a substantially bigger, but not blowout opening weekend and normal instead of same legs.

 Re: Jumanji 2 Predictions
Let's hope they don't pull a Narnia or Night At the Museum and move a Dec franchise to summer thinking it will do even better. If it stays in December, could see it go slightly higher. It's showing some of the best legs of all time so clearly it has resonated with moviegoers and millennials strongly.

 Re: Jumanji 2 Predictions
I think December would work best for this movie as well. Very early projection $300m total.

 Re: Jumanji 2 Predictions
Its the type of film that appeals to families and is 4-quadrant. Everyone wants to see it at the time but a couple of years later it the sequel sees a drop-off because the original while enjoyable was nothing special. Stay in December and it should be good for $275-$325m.
And I guess it may also depend if Jungle Cruise is released before this. That may feel like a quasi-sequel to this and take away some of the demand.

 Re: Jumanji 2 Predictions
It’s going to do 50m-100m less. Like all comedy/action sequels

 Re: Jumanji 3 Predictions
It looks pretty fun, and I liked how they were able to switch things up with Devito and Glover.
Think it can still do 300m+ domestically.

$200m-$250m total. The novelty will wear off, it's a gimmick just like Night at the Museum.

I liked the trailer. The Rock playing DeVito is a great idea.

 Re: Jumanji 3 Predictions
I could see something like 70/290 (a similar OW increase and total drop as NATM)
But I think it will finish over $300 mil.

 Re: Jumanji 3 Predictions
I'm thinking it goes sub 250m now.
