Re: Tuesday #s
Very excellent for Frozen. Hope it gets the Thanksgiving record.
Knives Out previews are a little deflated due to the Friday/Saturday screenings so good #. Hope today is 8+

Re: Tuesday #s
Discount Tuesdays have really increased in the last year, haven't they? It seems like that first Tuesday is becoming the day of choice for a sizable portion of moviegoers. Movie use to increase on Thanksgiving Tuesday and then increase even more on Wednesday, but I don't see how Frozen II doesn't drop quite a bit today.

Re: Tuesday #s
It will probably be within 5% of Tuesday on Wednesday looking at last years increases/decreases. Like 19-22 million. Then probably 14m Thursday, 28-30m on Friday and Saturday, and 14-15 on Sunday. The record will be close, but it should at least beat the original Frozen for the number 2 gross.

Re: Tuesday #s
Just an FYI, including $2.03m previews, KO has made $3.7m so far.
If it can match or exceed Creed 1's True Wednesday ($4.6m), it should meet its $40m budget in 5 days.

Play Store New X's Max The Hollywood Reporter is expecting Queen and slim to make 15 to 17 million for its first five days and only 1,600 theaters. That is pretty strong. Must be the good reviews.

Re: Tuesday #s
Frozen increased nearly as well as Playing With Fire. I didn’t expect such a good Tuesday jump with its opener status and sequel status. The increase is a good sign for the rest of the week and could mean its pattern won’t be hurt too badly for being an opener, sequel, and blockbuster. The jump must be a combination of thanksgiving, with more schools getting out, and discount Tuesday. Big Hero 6 jumped almost 50% when Tuesdays were lower. It increased 27% Wednesday, but faced the opening of Penguins of Madagascar. Grinch had a slight increase last year, but had the opening of Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Hopefully the winter storms won't impact the b.o. too much...

I remember the first Frozen's run coinciding with one of the more wintery winters in a long time in the U.S. I was convinced the extra snowy, blizzardy season made the difference between a $250m and $400m gross. (though perhaps international numbers sorta disproved that). Would be fun/funny to see it happen again, and have the sequel become super leggy during an intense winter.
