Shazam! - 7
Hellboy - 5.5
Little - 5
After - 2.5
Missing Link - 2
Dumbo - 2

At this point Dumbo may not pass Glass. Ouch.

So now Disney have had a major failure with 1) Star Wars, 2) their live-action reimaginings. Only Marvel remains unblemished.

Also whoever thought remaking Hellboy was a good idea should be fired. People would've actually watched another Del Toro Hellboy with Ron Perlman and the rest of the cast (what's Selma Blair up to these days? Surely she'd appreciate the work) but no, it's reboots all the time in Hollywood.

It's a shame what's happening to Laika at the box-office. Their films have remained consistently good/great, but they continue to decline at the box-office. Missing Link looks like it'll basically nose-dive up to 50%(!) instead of the usual 5% or so that their previous films declined from their predecessor...

Oh my God I didn't know that. That's awful. I recently had a scare with a motor neuron disorder (thankfully nothing was wrong) so I really empathize.

Disney's strategy to go all in on sequels and remakes was a mistake. What keeps them on top is finding the breakthrough original like Pirates and Frozen

THIS is what we should be talking about in this thread. You're absolutely right and it irritates me as well. I got all the movies at home and think that their track record in terms of quality is hard to top. I can see why they don't appeal to mass audiences, since they are not always 'cheap' entertainment, but with Missing Link LAIKA reached a new low point (regarding boxoffice). :disgust:

Missing Link just isn't appealing as a kid's film and after seeing it it's not that good in general sadly. I get why it's flopping. They need to release something like Coraline again.

Based on Deadline's estimates pretty crappy drops all around. Us is struggling towards Get Out and will prpbably have another shitty drop next weekend with La Llorona.

Shazam! is doing fine (mainly due to the budget being "low") but this release date really wasn't good, especially coming out with Endgame tickets going on sale. August would've been a good month since the only other big movie is Hobbs and Shaw but oh well.

She did an interview with robin Roberts and there’s a emotional moment of her showing up at the Oscars
