Because I just wonder why otherwise they would have decided on no guns for the film..

I haven't played it myself, but in 2013 game she doesn't have weapons in the beginning, but later acquires bow and eventually various guns. And I'm pretty sure acquiring guns is nowhere near the end since it was featured in promotion materials. Quote: Because I just wonder why otherwise they would have decided on no guns for the film.. Because it might have been too jarring a transition to "Commando". They are also maybe more focused on first hours where she's just trying to survive, since it is maybe more interesting and realistic/down-to-earth.

Well, people don't go to see video-game adaptations for reality, so if that's the reason it's stupid.

Re: Tomb Raider BELOW $45m Total Club
Its a survival movie for a better part and the transition to bow is very generic and suits the story. In the movie there is a scene of her first kill so it also makes sense that she doesn't use guns right away. In the last scene of the movie though (also seen in trailers) she is shopping for guns and says "I'll take two of these"

With that opening, this clubs looks like a fail. I was so sure it would at least be close. Ah well.

It made 84 ww over the weekend which is pretty good for it. It is lucky, though, it is doing so well overseas.

Re: Tomb Raider BELOW $45m Total Club
Yeah with that opening $45m is happening but it isn't big enough for a sequel as of now. The OS numbers are really encouraging so hopefully we get a sequel.
