I blame Bill & Ted Face the Music. Everyone was thinking about seeing IW again, then that story broke and everyone forgot about it.

A bit disappointing for Life of the Party. Figured it could at least outopen the R rated Snatched.

Good that IW increased from that $15.5m estimate. $60m seems doable. Depending on the MD boost the two openers can still rebound.

It's doing fine. I don't know how $65m would have come true, that's 42% drop and it wasn't going to hold that well after barely sneaking past BP last weekend.

Anybody catch A Wrinkle in Time's re-expansion? $88 per theater avaerage from 1,924 theaters on Friday for $174,000.

Yep a $30m would have been impressive. It's doing standard numbers thus I don't think it will survive and have a great hold next weekend. The good news is that DP2 is rated R.

27 mil Sat would be good, not great. It has been holding really well on Sundays thus far, it that trend continues this week with Mothers day it could still get a 63-64 mil weekend.

Yes mother's Day is really the wild card here. Both the openers will benefit but IW is also a great contender to get the boost specially now that the families have been constant audience for MCU.

I was thinking closer to $63m with that Saturday, but $61.8m is fine. $700m is within sight even with the dynamic duo coming up.

It will likely finish there. Every weekend they have underestimated the final.

Breaking In is going to go up. They're predicting only a 9% increase on Sunday. Way to lowball it. It's looking at at least a 20% increase.

I hope A Quiet Place keeps holding well. Will take a bigger hit over the next couple of weekends though.

Still pretty great for Infinity Wars

Very curious to see what the actuals will look like. The MD effect is going to be interesting, especially for IW considering deadline had it at $65M.

So it'll need about 155 to secure #1 off a 62 million weekend. Possible but now with DP and Solo it might only pop 130 more which would be reasonable.

Either way, bravo Marvel.

I wonder if the hold for AQP will get better, its estimated at 35% drop, I know it will drop but with MD I can see the movie seeing a slight boost.

IW is going to increase for sure, its not dropping 30% on Sunday that would be good without MD boost.

Surprised that none of the openers are even close to $20m OW, I guess they ate into each other's business.

A great weekend overall reaching #7 on the 19th weekend list (and would most likely go to #6), and if you remove the OW's its at #4 (and those were all 2nd weekend of big MCU openers vs 3rd weekend of IW)

Agreed that IW is probably under estimated by 2-3 mil. Sunday drop will be closer to 20% than 30%. The march to 700 mil continues. Next weekend will tell the tale, should drop 55% with DP2 opening.

Surprised AQP dropped under 20% this weekend. Didn't figure it to be a film Moms would gravitate to, especially with the openers.

It seems obvious after the fact, imo. It's about a family, a mother having a baby, and the parents doing anything to protect their children. And since it's not "scary" in a traditional sense, I'd take my mom to it.
