I think this will do 50m OW, 130m total. A lower tier superhero flick, but not a bomb.

That teaser wasn't shit. I need to see way more before I can get a good read on this movie, but so far I don't see how its going to appeal to anyone outside the comic book nerds if this is going to be their marketing campaign.

It's my understanding they don't have many of the visual effects ready yet. I won't be making a prediction until I see something more polished.

I love the fact that they don't show Venom. It is a proper teaser.

I understand that, but the worse thing about that trailer is that it doesn't tell you anything about the movie either. I mean why would general audiences care for some generic looking action/thriller starring Tom Hardy? They also have that awful logo at the end like its suppose to be obvious, and don't even show the full title of the movie lol.

Looks like a mind-tease thriller with Marvel logo than an actual anti-hero movie.

Yeah still too early to tell but it should manage to be a sizeable hit for Sony, especially with the October release. $150m is a good bet.

And it's just a fucking teaser! Teasers are generally for people that know what the subject matter is anyway, and don't need convincing. There will be countless "full trailers" for people like you that don't know what Venom is.

I'm probably going to regret this but I am going for $58m opening with a $155m total.

I feel this will do $35m OW and $101m total.

I was thinking it would barely do $100m total at one stage - but with the teaser and the good release date + the Marvel fanbase (regardless if it is Sony or MCU) - it should make more than this by default.

After the suit reveal this will be a sub $100m grosser

75-80 domestic seems spot on. Not an embarrassment but a non-starter in terms of being a franchise.

Hopefully that final shot is unfinished VFX. Looks kind of like a 90s low budget superhero film like Spawn or Power Rangers. Perhaps intentially comedic.

This will do well. Could touch $200 mil total. Probably leaning $175 mil for now.

The trailer lost all of the edge the teaser had. Though I am still going with $35m opening and $100m touchdown.

Brazilians, Indians, and Mexicans made up 80% of those views. Still gonna bomb in the US.
