Re: When will SW8 become 2017's biggest? On paper it should increase today but the movie isn't performing well so you just never know. But it's Wednesday will be lower than $25m for sure and then Thursday will see another decrease

Re: When will SW8 become 2017's biggest? It's not doing $31m on Tuesday and you're expecting a 10% Wednesday drop from discounted boxing day gross that has got to be a mistake right? RO dropped 30% after Boxing Day on a discounted Tuesday there is no way TLJ sees only 10% drop on Wednesday.

I wonder what was the last time the year end title switched this late but still within the calendar year. Both TFA and RO dodnt actually take the yearly title until after New Years (TFA was SUPER close on 12/31 but short). This may be a record in modern late switch within calendar year for modern BO. Skimming through the yearly list on BOM, the closest appears to be the first Harry Potter, which overtook Shrek on Christmas Day. Most other November/December yearly crown-holders didn't take the crown until the new year.
