Blown away that 15:17 increased Saturday. WOM must not have spread quickly. Great start for Peter Rabbit, should do well for the next few weeks

Adult movies do usually increase on Saturday though.

Terrific for Peter Rabbit.

Pleased to see Den of Thieves hold strong, and also rank ahead of 12 Strong. And Hostiles isn't doing bad either. Glad it isn't another Out of the Furnace. This seems to be connecting with people more.

I just noticed both crossed $40M which is pretty impressive IMO. I wasn't expecting more than $20-$30M for either, but it looks like a really weak January is helping their legs. Not bad for Hostiles either as it could have easily been another Out of the Furnace. Too bad the budget for so high for it though, because its still going to have a hard time turning a profit with hardly any kind of push OS, although its not like it had a whole lot of OS potential anyways.

Why isn’t Get Out listed as a re-release? BOM has it listed as being out for 262 days, but they stopped tracking it after June 2-4.

The original Get Out is now in the sunken place.

You can see by its final gross on 4th June and by its new gross on 28th Jan that there is $258,515 unaccounted for. It did not make that much from the rounding out its final week (5-8th June), so it probably stayed around for months in enough theatres to not mark its expansion in late January as a "re-release".

Not Fifty Shades! :funny:

That opening is so bad that it will miss $100m total.

Jumanji managed to get $10 m + with actuals.

Eight weekends above $10 m and the best drop of its run yet. Needs a 4.41 multiplier to get to $400 m. If its that close, I don't see how Sony doesn't push this past Spidy to become its biggest film of all time. Everything depends on the hold next weekend. Wonderwoman at #3 for the year looks to be a stretch but $400 m definitely isn't impossible.

Sony has it already set for a March 20 DVD/Blu-Ray release, which will probably cut it short of reaching Wonder Woman. But if it can reach $400 million (and why shouldn't it at this pace?) then it could also easily pass Spider-Man as Sony's biggest movie ever, which only requires a few extra million. Just an all around insane run.

Apparently Peter Rabbit is drawing heat for “mocking people with food allergies.” Some parents are calling for a boycott.

Will this be the theme of next years’ oscars?

Seems like everyone has a problem with something these days.

lol. I bet it doesn't mock them. I bet it mentions them. But everyone wants a reason to demand a boycott these days.

Ah ok. But it still isn't mocking people with food allergies. Agree it is stupid.
