It could be a small factor but not big enough to hurt JL's OW IMO.

People are underestimating WONDER a lot (which I saw three months ago btw)...

I keep hearing it's doing really well in pre-sales. I had no idea it was based on a book or that it was that popular, but it looks like it could definitely surprise this weekend. That fact that it has already appeared on MT is really encouraging as well.

It's closing in on 300K FB Likes accompanying solid Twitter activity, so it's definitely being talked about.

Anything under Suicide Squad would be disappointing, although SS had a stellar marketing campaign.

If JL opens under SS that would definitely be disappointing. I know SS had a lot of hype before it came out, but this is still the fucking Justice League. There's no excuse for it to open under $150M other than WB mishandling this Universe.

This will still open above SS but just barely. I think $140m OW will happen but that doesn't mean its great.

JL Thursday selling softer than expected in my region. May need strong walk-ups to pass SS.

My Thursday 6pm PLF show has sold less than 1/5 of capacity so far. That's really bad compared to Thor, which was at about half capacity at this point. Still, walk ups could be strong, and the 6pm opening instead of 7pm could be affecting it too.

JL will obviously Leapfrog Thor on MT but it's taking awhile to do so.

Yeah so the same observation here in Singapore, compared to Thor it was less than half full 3 hours before the opening midnight show but then it was full few minutes before the show started.

My prediction is $107m. Just a bit higher than The Avengers (second) weekend. I hope it breaks out to $150m+ though.

JL is outselling Wonder Woman, which seems Captain Obvious to me. The addition of Batman alone should have sealed that.

JL is probably looking at a gross in the $120m region now which isnt too bad considering the reviews and the fact it has Thanksgiving weekend in its second round.

Wonder is right behind Thor on MT. With a strong opening this should be a leggy hit. Depending where it opens it could do 70+.

Yeah, this seems like the kind of movie that could end up pulling a 5+ multiplier, honestly - it'll have a great hold next weekend, and then has zero competition for the next two weeks, and I assume audiences will eat it up. Might be a mini-Blind Side (which also opened the weekend before Thanksgiving).

Early indications are The Star will be well received. It's not getting much buzz in the shadow of JL and Wonder but hopefully has some staying power for the holiday season.

Thor was around 70% + on MT it's Thursday before release is everyone really
grasping onto the "walkups will save this" after all the bad press
and the worst casting of batman in 20 years....
