Don’t like the steep theater drop for Jumanji. I know it’s out on home video but at least get a comfortable bead on Spiderman’s domestic gross before pulling theaters wholesale.

Not awful for Pacific Rim. The first one must have had a fanbase.

Good hold for Love, Simon. I think this is going to be a case of a film that struggles initially but ends up finding its audience after a leggy run and success on streaming, home video, etc. Maybe people feel more comfortable watching a ~gay movie~ in the privacy of their homes.

So all-in-all, a pretty great opening for Uprising.

Will be interesting to see if Panther can reach $700m. Seems on a pretty good track for $680-690m right now.

Yeah that's pretty solid of PRU but I don't think drops will be kind. It should still be able to muster $70m total which is not a huge drop from the original.
Great for BP

ICOI is again the true winner of the weekend. $13m would have been a great OW for the movie but in its second weekend getting that is a HUGE win.

Solid for Love, Simon but its opening was low, reminds me of Game Night scenario.
Poor for Gnomes and I don't think it can recover this time, there was just too much time between the two films.

Paul suffered from ICOI's opening for sure it will leave theaters soon.

Not entirely disastrous for Midnight Sun and Unsane but both could have opened better.

Given its holds thus far it looks good to reach $700m.

Not sure what happened with Gnomes? Yes, you can make the argument it didn't look great and the sequel was way too late, but didn't parents want to take their kids to see something on Spring Break? Not a lot of choices for youngsters at the moment.

If BP drops 37.5% from here on out then it is tracking from $675m. hopefully we'll see lighter drops before the Avengers 3 onslaught.

BP had direct competition this weekend thus dropped bigger. I am sure the drops will get lighter going forward. If it can somehow stays above $10m mark next two weekends then $700m becomes a lock. Also next weekend will be MUCH better with Easter boosting grosses.

The Wonder closed its theatrical run. Amassing $300m WW has to be one of the big surprises from the 2017 films.

Re: BP's chances at $700m....I forgot about RP1. $670m is definitely a play but not much more.

I'm happy with Unsane's opening. Could have totally bombed.

Surprisingly strong for Pacific Rim.

True RP1 could hit it hard as well. Let's see how it holds next weekend, if it drops bigger than this weekend then I guess $700m is out of question.
