The show was on every friggin day at the time. And even by 1995, half the original cast was already gone by that time, and not in the movie (And Jason and Kimberly were part of the reason the show was so popular). That being said, it still adjusts to 75 million. The show is an oddity, it was huge for 2 years, and then by the time the movie came out it was reworked to a shittier version and just got worse and worse.

Lionsgate missed a big opportunity not attaching a new trailer to Rogue One. That teaser got the biggest reaction out of all the trailers at my showing, but you could tell it mostly because people had no idea a Power Rangers movie was coming. Anyways, they need to hurry the fuck up and release another one, because the marketing has sucked so far.

Fantastic Four had bad buzz for months and a single digit RT score. The film has no bad buzz yet, and I highly doubt the RT score will be single digits.

If the March schedule stays the way it is, something just HAS to fail. Logan won't, neither will Kong: Skull Island or Beauty and the Beast. All three will do damn well. That leaves us with The Boss Baby, Ghost in the Shell and Power Rangers and out of these three I think Power Rangers has the biggest fail potential. I just cannot believe that March will produce six $100+ million grossers, at least one of them, probably two, making $200+ million.

Already at 2.2 million views after only 7 hours, and it's at 12.3 million views on Facebook. It looks pretty cheap, and opening between Beauty and the Beast and F8 of the Furious could be deadly, but there's obviously quite a bit of excitement surrounding the film. I think it can top $100 million.

The trailer views are impressive, but I'm still not convinced it will breakout unless opening in the $40-$45M range is considered breaking out. I could see that, but it'll die even faster after opening weekend if it's not good.

Box office.com agrees with me. The trailers haven't done nearly as well as for Power Rangers. And King Kong 2005 was a disappointment commercially, and some thought it was too long and self indulgent.
