Re: Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Thread
I'd say it will move, but then it has already moved several times.
I hope it does well, I think it looks good.

Re: Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Thread
I don't know, but this seems like a BOMB to me. Tarzan looked more appealing and is probably more recognizable among mainstream audiences. March is already packed with blockbusters and unless this one can stand out it will definitely get swallowed up. It would honestly be in Warner Bros best interest if it was just moved.

Re: Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Thread
They should move it to a less crowded month. It's still going to bomb, but atleast it may save face with less competition. August 2017 is the best option at this point.

Re: Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Thread
Based on all the moves, WB clearly knows it's trouble.
I can't think of any reason why this would do anything beyond Man from Uncle numbers.

Re: Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Thread
Tarzan shows this has the potential to not bomb. But I do think it will too, unfortunately.

Needs to move to the summer. As does Dark Tower.

Re: Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Thread
Slightly offtopic but why are studios still avoiding September? We need one or two major feature films (bigger than the Transylvania movies) to 'open' up that month. It's the last month to not have gotten the memo (films can score big outside summer and Christmas months).
Martian and Gravity could have done just as well if they opened up a few weeks prior.

Martian and Gravity could have done just as well if they opened up a few weeks prior. You can also view it the other way i.e. HT movies made most of their money in October. With August becoming huge in recent years I think September will continue to be dumping ground.

Re: Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Thread
Despite the general piling on, King Arthur garnered fairly positive reviews here on KJ.
