Damn Deadline and their early numbers. I can only hope it goes up because those numbers would be pretty underwhelming for both openers, although CU will still be very profitable in the end.

That would indeed be poor for WW if true but I think it will go up. MoS did $44m and that was with lesser preview numbers. If these numbers hold $100m OW won't happen specially with the lower range of $34m WW might not even hit $95m mark.

CU did fine. I think it will hold well over Saturday and Sunday to get past $25m mark which should be good enough for it. Given the reviews I think it can still cross $100m with a lower opening.

Well even if the highest end in that prediction for WW is true I don't think it's making even $90m OW because that number would indicate that it's really frontloaded.

I'm going with $36m since that's the average of $34m and $38m. Assuming a 25% jump through the night similar to Jurassic World and Avengers, the high end for today is around $45 million. Hopefully it can at least get to $40m.

That would require pathetic FriDAY numbers. I can't see it.

300,000 Tweets, dominating MT and fandango, excellent reviews and WOM, dead marketplace, $11m previews.

I can't see below $45m total Friday.

Maybe its all the Dump voters staying away...

Yes, but it's been established that you are terrible on an epic scale when it comes to tracking DC films.

Yeah Wonder Woman is a feminist conspiracy!

Lol. Most likely Trump supporter males are going to sell out the Alamo Drafthouse women screenings.

It's okay, pal. WONDER WOMAN being good just might have saved JUSTICE LEAGUE in the eyes of non-fanboy audiences.

3rd Update Writethru, Friday 4:38PM: Late afternoon industry estimates show Warner Bros/DC and Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman rising to $38.5M today, and $95M+ for the weekend. That’s easily the best domestic opening for a female director, beating previous champ Fifty Shades of Grey directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson ($85.1M). Some think Wonder Woman can tip $100M over three days; we’ll have a better idea later tonight. Too soon to call.

If this were coming off a well received BvS and Suicide Squad, it could have done 130m+. Alas, it did not.

The question is can it hold off Despicable Me for the number 1 June opening this year.

Ugh it's low but having seen it, word of mouth is going to be spectacular. No Mans Land build up + fight is best super hero intro ever, by an absolute mile.
