Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (now a X-Mas Release) 1. This almost guarantees a December release for Episode IX. Why this matters is that it sets up a possible clash with one of the Avatar sequels.
2. The Avatar themed Disney World attraction is supposed to open Dec 2017. If Avatar 2 does come out at that time then Disney has a conflict of interest. It wants Avatar 2 to do well in order to promote the theme park attraction while also rooting for Episode 8.
