I have to side with BKB on this one admit that that is a nice hold for The Amityville Horror. $70M should be reachable.

The Amityville Horror is having the best legs of any horror movie this year. That's odd considering that it dropped a lot on its first Saturday, while a few others (like Boogeyman, Hide and Seek, White Noise) increased a tad bit.

Amityville Horror is having great legs for a horror flick! Good opening for Hitchhiker's, but it is a tad bit frontloaded. xXx2 had a better than expected Saturday increase. Hitchhiker might end up being the more frontloaded between it and xXx2. All movies might have great holds next weekend since all the movies opening are rated R.

Didn't that fall 80% last weekend? So why did they increase its theater count?

Yeah, its weekend should be closer to $3.5M.

Good multipliers for most films.

Exactly. :D

Brother Bear confuses me though...it went wide on saturday? How...not ordinary.

EDIT: Ah, from 2 to 3,030. Still not sure why not on friday...was 10/31, Halloween.

With friday and saturday numbers in 8 million range, how did Hitchhiker's only pull an estimetaed 21 million? I mean, it would have to have a 4 1/2 million Sunday only. This seems like the kind of movie that would make more on Sunday than that.

Well i dont know if it has too do with that Big Robot increase, but Yesterday was Kids Day or Day of the Child in Most latin american countries, and as you all know there are a Huge amount of hispanics in the US. Maybe that was a factor on the increase
