I have a feeling that the mere length of time between The Commuter and Neeson's last thriller will help it do mid teens. Paddington will probably do slightly less than the last film. Proud Mary should have urban appeal, but it could do 10 or 25 million and I wouldn't be surprised. The Post is doing about as well as Hidden Figures in limited, but doesn't look quite as commercial, so I say it does just below 20m.

It's MLK weekend which I think will help Proud Mary.

Can you elaborate as to why? I have no pulse on this film, though its social media footprint is weak.

Proud Mary is something urban audiences could eat up like The Call, No Good Deed, The Perfect Guy or The Boy Next Door.

P Henson is a big star especially in the urban community. There has been no big Urban hit since girls trip last summer. And the trailer got a great reaction from its core audience.

The Post is already #1 on movietickets.com with 12.3%; none of the other new releases this weekend have broken the top 5.

That’s impressive, should crack 20m with that.

Wonder if it can hit $25m 4-day?

I'm wondering more about whether it can break $25 million for the 3-day. I don't see why it should at least match the Hidden Figures opening from last year.

Eh I thought that looked more appealing. But maybe.

The Post can probably do 30 million for the 4-Day.

Reviews aren't strong, but The Commuter looks really entertaining from the trailer. Actually playing on an IMAX screen here, though basically none have sold for tonight.

Shocked Lady Bird is only adding 90 theaters this weekend compared to the 712 Three Billboards is adding. Even Shape of Water isn't adding any but instead losing 81.

I now expect The Post to be #2 with 28-29 Million for the 4-Day (my exact prediction is 28.564 Million). Also expecting Paddington 2 and Proud Mary to come in a tad lower but still think Proud Mary cracks 20 Million over the 4-Day.

The Shape of Water I expected to gain theaters but with it losing them I'm predicting a decline. Will go -2% for 3 Million.

The Post in solid control on MT with 17%.
