The exceptions seem to be when it is a major studio's movie, and it very clearly, rapidly switches from limited to nationwide play (see: Live by Night, Patriots Day). _________________   1. CinemaScore is certainly a sketchy operation. If they were really proud of the validity of their surveying technique, results wouldn't be so inconsistent and difficult to find. It's just a industry tool that has gained a bit of a public awareness - they keep a lid on it for the most part.
