This is huge, Saturday and perhaps even Sunday record is going down.


Broke biggest Non Midnight record by over 12 million!!

Crazy that this will outgross all the non-Iron Man Avengers prequels by the end of Sunday.

I'm seriously interested in 3D share because this number is just enormous.

Even when you factor in 3D it still broke the record, and adjust for inflation it's right up there with Pirates 2 and TDK, and those were JULY Fridays.

The most insane thing is that this means a lot of demand was almost certainly pushed to today, which means a Saturday under $60 million is highly unlikely, and a Sunday over $40 million is almost certain.

So, $180+ million weekend at least, probably.

Also, Box Office Guru reports $80.5 million too.

Non-Midnight Friday would be about 48.6M (guessing the 3D share to be ~47%), which is under DMC, TDK, SM3, NM, TF2, and ROTS. That's a relatively low 3D share, it could be even higher

It gets 183 million with a steep 25% drop on Saturday and another 30% drop on Sunday.

I swear to God, the more I think about this, the more flabbergasted I am by this number. $62M without midnights. And the midnights were already huge ($18M) for a Marvel film in May. Even better is that this has family/casual appeal so the Saturday drop w/o midnights may be non-existent. Are y'all realizing just how BADASS it is that this is not only breaking the OW record, but shitting on it, too?!
