mark posted those numbers for Mummy earlier. Uni will be happy if the movie makes that much domestically.

This will easily make $300m worldwide, and that's the minimum it needs.

The Mummy is likely to be a domestic loss. Too bad - potential was there for a good movie.

The OS box-office will save The Mummy big time, but domestically it will be considered a dud. I'm really curious to see how the studios will go about setting up the next films knowing the less than enthusiastic critical reception and underwhelming box-office results.

I'm not so sure the OS audience will go for The Mummy either. Europe will not be big on it. It's only saving grace might be China.

Last one was connected to China and Asia and had Jet Li. That played a huge part in its success. This reboot doesn't have such connections. That will play as a negative factor.

^OK. I understood you said the previous one set record in Korea, I just saw it's for the new Mummy movie. Had no idea any numbers were available. Well, seems like Asia will come to the rescue once again.

Great for It Comes at Night should be profitable from the OW itself.

Smart budget for rough night.

All eyez on me, I am really not sure if this going to do more than $100m worldwide, see it being a miss.

Surprisingly high budget for All Eyez On Me. The trailers make it look a lot cheaper than SOC, but I do remember hearing that they had a significant amount of reshoots last year. However, I also see it not doing much more than $100M WW, so it likely won't be nearly as profitable as SOC.

Great budget for RN. AEoM won't repeat the success of SoC at the BO or budget wise.

http://uproxx.com/movies/weekend-box-of ... h-night/2/ claims $5m but I never heard of the site so I have no idea how reliable it is...

Aside from merchandise these movies are just too expensive theatrically but ofcourse Disney won't care they will make one even if it does less than $100m because of the merchandise power.

I don't see it doing $1b this time. Even if it goes Pirates route everywhere else it has MUCH bigger China presence so it will be a success overall.

If T5 is really that bad it's probably going to hurt it at least, but if China does $300 as expected then bad performances anywhere else is very unlikely to kill the franchise with this one. Guess it will be interesting whether it will do more than Pirates 5, which wasn't that well received either.

Pirates 5 was received much better compared to T5 IMO. It will be interesting to see how this does in OS markets. Will we finally see a big drop from China for this series?

Cars 3 is kind of a flop from its theatrical release....but then you remember it makes like a billion dollars in toy sales. They literally just chuck these out every new generation of 5 year olds to keep them buying shit.
