Great for Closer. Even my 7M prediction is low. Feel good about all the games this week.

That's awesome for Closer! It's going to do very well, but kill my games. National Treasure should get over $15 million this weekend. The drop for Spongebob was not that bad. It'll get over $6 million for the weekend.

With good holds like these thru' Christmas at all theatres and beyond Christmas on Imax, The Polar Express should clear $125 mil. :)

The Polar Express is a lock for $125 million now. It'll have great drops until Christmas, which should give it about $120-125 million before it completely drops. For a movie that opened to $23 million, that's damn good, and certainly not a dissapointment. :)

Well The Polar Express opened on a Wednesday so the $23 million opening weekend number could have been higher if it opened on a Friday, but yes I do agree that TPE is showing very good holds.

Good numbers.

Do you guys still think Spongebob will do 100? Kranks? I have been absent lately so I might have missed out on the overall scheme of things. Kranks looks like its doing so so, ditto with SB. I don't think so...

That is just fantastic for CLOSER.
Just about what I predicted the $8-9m range!

I knew it would attract loads of people.... it was so high profile for only a 476 theatre count... I'm seeing it tonight and I'll probably go an hour or so earlier. When I was taking my SAT's this morning, I heard another guy talk about it and he said it was really good and was spreading the word.

Let's just say that it grossed $7500 at one of the theaters on Friday. (You know which one I am talking about).

Third TERRIBLE derby in a row, I was right on with National Treasure though.

1. National Treasure - $17.6
2. The Incredibles - $14.9
3. Christmas with the Kranks - $12.4
4. The Polar Express - $11.2
5. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie - $9.7
6. Alexander - $9.5
7. Finding Neverland - $8.3
8. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason - $4.7
9. Sideways - $3.9
10. Closer - $3.6

Somebody told me that Sideways and Finding Neverland were going to expand a lot this weekend...guess thats what I get for putting my prediction in before final theater counts

:( That makes it sound like it won't pass $300,000 this weekend.
