Friday and Sunday, and especially Monday, will make up for Dec. 24th being on a Saturday.

In America most employeees will have "Christmas Monday" off as well. It is, I believe, one of the busiest shopping days of the year, huge sales etc.
Kong should easily pull in $10-$15 million on Monday alone.

Yep, and Canada has always had December 26th off because it's Boxing Day, which is listed in the Canada Labour Code as a holiday.
PEACE, Mike.

I'm gonna roll with a 40% drop from my 67.2 predict keeping it at 40 million it's 2nd weekend but it will slow down considerably after the Monday following Christmas.

I'm going to actually agree with BKB; I think it will drop at least 50%. This is not the weekend when most films will increase.

I certainly hope this doesn't turn out to be the case, although a 50% drop is still possible given that Saturday is the 24th. Still, WOM seems to amazing, and I think it can pull another BB and drop 40%-45%. Without the WOM it might very well be headed for a drop of 60%+.
A drop under 50% would be excellent for this movie next weekend given the circumstances.

Christmas Eve is on Saturday, that is when movies drop hard. You have no proof to back that up. Every time Christmas Eve has been on a Saturday ALL movies have held up VERY well. The last time Christmas Eve was on a Saturday was in 1994. Alot has changed in 11 years. So seeing how Kong will act that weekend is unpredictable. Oh, and back in 1994 the most a movie dropped that weekend was 33%... and that was "Junior"... lol
Those numbers for 1994 compare a 4 day weekend to a 3 day weekend. I wish we had numbers from the 3 day.
