The craftsmanship that went into it is simply astounding. James Cameron is a genius in a way Peter Jackson can only hope he becomes one day (He's not there yet as the LOTR films aren't nearly as affecting as the box office behemoth that was 'Titanic'). Uh...you did see LOTR right? Titanic was great technically but it was pure schmaltz and not very affecting at all Well I found Titanic to be pretty emotional when I was a teen, but when I watch it today, I simply can't go over the clichés and all the silly writing technics.
Its just a bit....obvious, the whole love story grafted onto a tragedy is an ill-fit in Ahmed-King's opinion..

For a film to do as out of this world good as 'Titanic' did it cannot be a terrible film. The public may be stupid but they aren't brainless either.

The One-King begs to differ..most people are sheep, y'know..think of all the terrible musical acts that are mega-successful for instance!

Anyways, I think it'll drop around 45%, considering the Return of the King dropped 30% in its second weekend.
So??? I love repeating myself and this movie will be HEAVILY FRONTLOADED with a 55% drop..

Bohemian poor bloke woos suicidal rich girl. Poor bloke teaches rich girl to spit. Poor bloke and rich girl dance with ethnically diverse poor folk. Rich girl gets nude.
Cue special effects!!
Arrogant rich folk killed - yay! Ethnically diverse poor folk killed - sob! Poor bloke gets rich girl. Poor bloke dies a martyrs death. Rich girl becomes bohemian. Throws away expensive necklace.
It's the perfect epic blockbuster. A film with spectacle, class warfare, cheesy love affairs, two dimensional villains, two dimensional heroes, and Celine Dion. It's not necessarily a bad film, but it's not all that good either. Whether you like it or hate it depends entirely on whether you're; a) poor b) a bohemian c) ethnically diverse d) arrogant e) rich f) a silly 13 year old girl
Or, like me, maybe you're just a good old fashioned cynic with no time for manipulative pap!!
btw, i guess i missed that thread last year (almost to the day, oddly enough.) but reading your first post, i was starting to get worried. luckily, i skipped to the end of that page and caught snrubs reply and your admittance the next page....:O

You have no proof to back that up. Every time Christmas Eve has been on a Saturday ALL movies have held up VERY well.
The last time Christmas Eve was on a Saturday was in 1994. Alot has changed in 11 years. So seeing how Kong will act that weekend is unpredictable.
Oh, and back in 1994 the most a movie dropped that weekend was 33%... and that was "Junior"... lol

And that was 1994. Movies drop generally more than that now.

It is safe to say that movies will drop more and that Kong will most likely have the biggest drop in the Top 10.

I think it's safe to say that Kong will hold up VERY well and might be one of the lower dropping movies because of how well it is being received by critics...
Oh and it's safe to say that you have a big doo doo head
