Mav, I'll say it again.

I didn't lose. You did. That entire 10-page Derailed thread was you saying it has a shot at 20, and will surely break 15, and us saying it'll land at best 11-13 mil. REGARDLESS of what prediction I made after that, if we look at debate compared to what happened, you got served. In The People vs Mav, the People won every claim. It wasn't #1 opener, and it landed in The People's projected 11-13 mil area, as opposed to Mav's repeated statements of 15 mil for sure and 20 mil very likely area. It didn't get close to 20.

I made a low Derailed predict later, but that was just myself on my own. It didn't really have anything to do with the other argument. I didn't debate for 10 pages on it, I just let it out and let it dry. Its worth as much as myself nailing Get Rich and doing good on Zathura this weekend, or nailing CL and Jarhead last weekend, or nailing North Country with by far the best(and only flop call) predict here for it from a while ago. I missed on one movie, big freaking deal.

You don't wanna know where he pulled that argument out of.

Anybody want to make a prediction on how many made up facts Shack has in store for us this weekend? As his last post shows, he's not learning any lessons here.

My reasoning for my prediction? When I made it was that it would do similar business to North Country. 2300-2400 PTA-ish. Adults had proven to not be all that present in the marketplace, and I took a shot at the trend continuing. I just didn't pull a number out of mid-air convincing myself it would bomb that much.

It was pretty bogus thinking, and in that way I was terribly off. The end.

Ok, but I hope you don't have trouble with the math.

1. Mav, I'll say it again.

I didn't lose. You did.

2. That entire 10-page Derailed thread was you saying it has a shot at 20, and will surely break 15, and us saying it'll land at best 11-13 mil.

3. REGARDLESS of what prediction I made after that, if we look at debate compared to what happened, you got served.

4. Mav's repeated statements of 15 mil for sure and 20 mil very likely area. It didn't get close to 20.

1 and 3 don't count.

2 and 4(which are the same thing anyways) are very much true.

You're trying to convince people of this "we" bullshit. The truth is, you were only a part of the "we" when you followed the consensus here and let them do your thinking for you. When you tried to think for yourself, you were below 5 million and never got above 5.6 million, and after the numbers came out, you're actually trying to claim some kind of victory when you were further off than everyone by a good amount, and you're embarrassing yourself by even continuing to do that.

I hope you really don't believe your own bullshit, because nobody else does.

Hmm, so now you're admitting that you did lose, but somehow twisting it into that I didn't have my own thoughts in the Derailed thread and that I was only 'tweaking the consenseous'.

Well, thats probably the best I'm going to get from you.

Are you mental? You do realize that I'll be closer than most people here, right? I think it's just dawned on me why your predictions and arguments are so bad. When, it dawned on me before, but this post just confirmed it for anybody that had doubts.

Um, ok?

For about the 4th or 5th time: In the Derailed thread for all of the 10 pages, you were saying 15 and 20 mil plus. Everyone else, including me even if we go by your definition of 'tweaking the consenseous' as you say it, was around the 11 to 13 mil range at best. The movie landed at 11 to 13 mil, it did not break 15 and it didn't get close to 20. Therefore, in The People vs Mav, The People were right.

Therefore, you lost.

I already have, and when you stop embarrassing yourself and when you stop making up your facts, we'll talk.

In the meantime, I'd like to see you try to convince anybody else here that you were part of any "we" that was right when you're BY FAR the furthest off from Derailed's opening weekend.

I won't be replying anymore to any of your nonsense, and I really hope you have no more planned for the next weekend.

Obviously there is no getting in that thick head.

I won't even bother.

Frankly, I don't see how either of you "won." It didn't hit $15-20 million and it didn't bomb like Stay. It's right in the middle, so why the hell is this arguement even continuing, especially with no weekend estimates?

Oh, comeon Zingy, you're not going to be successful trying to attach any 20 million prediction to me as if I made a prediction like that. It's NOT right in the middle. In fact, I'm closer than you, too.

We're not predicting Harry Potter here where there's a large margin of error. The realistic expectations were for Derailed to land anywhere from $8-15 million, and that's what it did. I predicted $9.2 million, making me $3.6 million off. You were $2.2 million off.

I'd consider that middle ground, whether you were closer by a million or not, but hey, I don't care if you want to call it a victory. I wish I would have kept my earlier prediction of $11-13 million when you were talking about a $20 million possibility (and you did consider it), though.

Need a shovel Shack? Because you're just digging yourself into a deeper and deeper hole. Why not just say "Hey, I made the worst prediction for Derailed, I was wrong."? You're getting into semantics, and frankly it ain't pretty.

Hooray Hooray for Me.

Yet another film that got lost amid the multiplex cinemas, but since I do have ONE minute with the box office crown for this thread I hope you all hear my words of wisdom about KK in the two main KK threads and how it will Not gross anywhere near 300 million domestic.

*bows*
