Good for Flightplan. It looks to at least get a gross near 'The Forgotten.'

I get the feeling, critics aside, most people felt like I did about Corpse Bride, that it wasn't great, but was pretty to look at, awesome, in fact, or they were totally disappointed. Flightplan is another hit to use with Jodie Foster's impressive resume when somebody doubts her drawing power. I can't for the life of me remember who was telling me that they didn't see her as a draw, but I hope they saw it for themselves and remember it for the next time.

Flightplan has been doing better than The Forgotten every day so far. The Forgotten dropped -43.8% on its second weekend, so don't be shocked by something better than that for Flightplan.

Corpse Bride's drop is fine, IF we consider it as a family film.

IF we consider it a family film, though, then its Saturday increase is not fine. For a family film, it's very low. In fact, the lowest increase on Saturday.

Such a miniscule Sat. increase has me doubting a bit.

I don't see what small Saturday increase has to do with a film being a family film or not. Fanbase caused the lower Saturday increase, not the genre of the film. Harry Potter should be considered a family film, and its first Saturday increase was pretty small.
Small Saturday increase allows me to have doubts on its second weekend hold, but it doesn't necessarily change my opinion that it's a family-oriented.

And Oliver Twist, A History of Violence, and The Greatest Game Ever Played.

Emily Rose' first Monday: $1,876,762
Flightplans first Monday: $1,886,964
Nice. $42.5M seems like a brilliant total to finish next weekend on.

The (September) fight is on between FLIGHTPLAN and EMILY ROSE. Sony are going to have to scarifice screens this week for EMILY. I can see EMILY finishing with 75m. FLIGHTPLAN to win must not drop anymore than 45% in the next 2 weekends.
