At the Lloyd Center, Transporter 2 gets both of the giant screens, while The Constant Gardener and A Sound of Thunder both get good sized ones and Underclassmen is put in one of the smaller ones in the mall. The Brothers Grimm is the only holdover staying on two screens.

Looks like Jennifer Lopez will have a great movie under her belt. I want to see An Unfinished Life. Will this be an oscar contender?

Two bad reviews, so far, including one from Variety.

Sometimes, a great cast just can't overcome. It remains to be seen if this will be any good, so only time will tell. I saw it advertise last night, and it doesn't look bad, but it also didn't stand out as a must see. I'll see it if WOM is great.

It seems reminiscent of The Shipping News, another Lasse Hallstrom film with a great cast (Kevin Spacey, Julianne Moore, Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench) that was dumped into theaters with little fanfare.

Transporter 2 is securing two screens in almost every theater. It's going to do very well this weekend, I think.

Yes, I have to admit, even though I am always looking up what's coming up, even a year in advance, this totally came in under my radar, and had I not seen it advertise last night, I wouldn't have looked it up. I would think if it was something the studio could get behind, it would be out there a bit more. I'm starting to wonder why Derailed doesn't have but a few pictures on the net and no trailer released yet, too. I hope that one is good, because it's really piqued my interest lately, and I can't find anything about it.

I think it's about 300 pages, but it's a lightening-paced thriller, so it shouldn't take you that long.

Here's a cover of the book with the poster on it.

I guess this will be the movie's official poster:

heh...I read at the IMDB boards that the only way to see a poster was to see the book cover.

I also must say, that I LOVE Jen as a brunnette.

Not sure of the actual count, but it's at an estimated 1,300.

At my theater.

Transporter 2 gets 3 screens!!! (A first for Labor Day weekend).
Underclassman gets 2 screens (a big mistake if you ask me).
Sound of Thunder and Constant Gardener get one each.

(Sorry, no reissues here).

im actually amazed to see so many theatres getting Sound of Thunder as no one has even heard of the movie...we too are in fact getting it which is a big surprise..

2 transporters
1 thunder
1 underclass
1 constant on weds

I guess its just cause there has been nothing but crap released recently and there are tons of movies that theatres can get rid of ... ex : we already lost undiscovered, supercross, 1 Grimm etc etc
