The Weekend Warrior

Most of it looks good. They're predicting less than a million for the 4-day weekend of A Sound of Thunder.

1,300 estimate for Gardener. I'll guess it'll pull in 8,000 pta for the weekend, since the wednesday opening will take the edge off of it. So about 10.6 million for the weekend right?

It won't get close to 8000 PTA for the 4-day weekend, not with only 1 screen and 4 showings per theater. $6000 should be the upper limit, and $5000 is more likely.

Transporter 2 is back on Moviefone.

With the theater count and all, I think a $20 million 4-day weekend is possible.

Box Office Guru: Four Day Predictions
Transporter 2: 14 million
The Constant Gardener: 6 million (7 million six day)
Underclassmen: 4 million
A Sound of Thunder: 2 million

They're predicting The 40-Year Old Virgin to be on top once more with 15 million over the four day. They have The Brothers Grimm at 10.5 million for the four day and Red Eye at 9 million. I think it all looks pretty good to me, only I'd guess The Brothers Grimm would fall way more then 30%, and Transporter 2 would make closer to 20 million then 14.

I'm waiting for someone to post it at HSX. Normally they will post THR and Variety one after another, but not this time. I didn't have subscription to either.

WSEX line is $14.0 million 3-day for Transporter 2.

People are underestimating some of the holdovers. I could see Red Eye performing like Without a Paddle, increasing over 180% on Friday and have an increase for the 4-day comparing to the last 3-day weekend.

The only movie I'm worried about is Underclassman and A Sound of Thunder.

I mean, they'll both do horrible, but how horrible is the question...
