I doubt he had any effect on this film's minor success. Heh.

I too doubt it. He was bland as can be in the film.

It sure looks like a bad joke. Let's hope it is.

It would explain the lack of BOM Friday numbers though.

Openers as expected. Nice to see Red Eye posting strong numbers - but damn, Penguins dropped a fair bit.

These numbers seem fishy. I can't see Penguins dropping so much. Hmm.

hi there, folks..

I don't know if anyone remembers me from BOM (I know I remember alot of people from there ;) )... and there are some people that know me from... another site, eh... :shades:

but anyways... I've been here for a while, but I only decided to register now. Why? I don't know.. I guess I'm bored and I don't have nothing to do right now... and Mojo is completely different than the Mojo I used to know.. not to say it's BAD, but I usually get the feeling that I'm talking and 5 months later I get a new reply (ok, I'm exaggerating, but still.. ) over the past months, I think I made a couple of posts..so, here I am..

-----------------

ok... now back to the topic... that's a great increase for Red Eye, and it should break 70 million, with the upcoming weekend and all (I still have my fingers crossed for +80 million, but I know that's a big stretch ;) ).. I'm a Wes Craven fan (even though I have to see some of his older movies like Last House on the Left and The Hills Have Eyes - shame on me, I know) so I'm very happy that's he's finally back on track..

Welcome back Android.
You`re right.Mojo has become nothing more than a " numbers " website.
The forums went down hill since most of the major posters left.
I hardly post there anymore.
The forums in here are way better.

As to what you said about Wes Craven , i`m a big fan of his and happy for the success of Red Eye ( mostly for Rachel McAdams ) , but i`m not sure his back on track.
I think he actually got out of track in this one ( since it`s a thriller ).
But who knows , maybe he did a good job ( i haven`t seen it yet ) and just found himself a new genre to work on.
I`m happy that his trying something new and i`m dying to see Red Eye ( you wouldn`t happen to know when it comes out here in Portugal do you ? ).

September 15th ;) can't wait... I even... liked "Cursed" (which went direct-to-video here) a little bit, even with all its problems

And I'm finally seeing "The People Under the Stairs" today (I'm doing a special about him for a site, so I'm trying to catch up.. ).. I've heard some very good things and some very bad things about it... but I think I'll enjoy it..

I`m watching House of Wax on September 8th ( the week before Red Eye ) so i`ll probably see it sometime in theaters.

I had a chance to watch Cursed this week on dvd but i went with Darkness ( Anna Paquin`s horror flick ).

I just heard to many bad things about Cursed and 2,50 € is still money.

Darkness surprised me a lot.I thought it was gonna be a total rip off from other horror movies but it wasn`t ( even though it had some simularities to AmityVille Horror - which i`m dying to see but it wont come out here until november - God i wish i lived in America!!!! ).

"Cursed" is a much "better" movie than "Darkness"

I probably liked Darkness because the movie i saw the day before was Hide and Seek.
That movie Sucks!!!
Boring all the way ( but Dakota Fanning does play well the role of creppy child ).

I might watch Cursed if the videostore runs out of new movies to see.
So far there`s still The Interpreter and State of the Union ( probably tied with Cursed ).

Naturalflux7.com is a magnificent site with a great section where "it pokes fun at the trivial events of the rich and famous" called "The Deli" and an amazing forum which includes Michael's always accurate predictions and a brilliant game which I'm proud to play

Better now?

;)
