Wow... hardly anything changed... I wonder if The Ring Two changed. Hopefully it's lower, but probably not since Amityville Horror rose.

Once again Kung-Fu Hustle was slightly overestimated, but it still only fell 8%. It's going to be huge this weekend, and you can quote me on that.

Just realized that Fever Pitch is following almost the exact same daily pattern as Never Been Kissed. Same release date, similar Friday increase and weekend hold. Why didn't I research a little harder last Thursday? ](*,)

How much did Never Been Kissed make in total? BTW, this past weekend will not be Sahara's lowest hold of its wide release.

hmmm....Don't think it's possible for Fever Pitch to get to $50,000,000. Would rock though.
It has $23,662,931 so far...after two weekends.
If it drops 40% every weekend....
Weekend 3 = $5,100,000
Weekend 4 = $3,060,000
Weekend 5 = $1,800,000
Weekend 6 = $1,000,000
Weekend 7 = $600,000
Weekend 8 = $360,000
Total is = $35.6M
Add in Weekday numbers.
Week= Mon,Tues,Wed,Thur
40% week to week drops.
Week 1= $2,742,000
Week 2= $1,645,200
Week 3= $986,920
Week 4= $592,152
Week 5= $355,291
Week 6= $213,175
Week 7= $127,905
Week 8= $76,743
+ $4,000,000 brings the total to $39.6M.
I doubt, unless it has some 20-30% drops often, it will pass $50M.
But here's hoping.

Ive noticed that in recent weeks the numbers have been lower than last years comparatively where as before it was above due to the horror films
i was just wondering if anyone knows a site where it has the running totals of this year as a whole (instead of individual studios) compared to last year
or do we always have to wait for the end of the year?

The weekly recap article from the-numbers always mentions the comparison with last year:

Anyone want to speculate on if there will be a sequel to Sahara? Personally I hope so, because this is the type of movie I like to see sequels to -- not great classic movies, and not awful movies.

Here's a Dirk Pitt fansite that has conducted polls on which of Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels they'd like to see made into a movie next.
Inca Gold & Atlantis Found seem to be the frontrunners. Cussler is rumored to be very fussy about adaptations though, but they seem like they're made to be made into movies sooner or later...
