I was wondering about that too. It was in the Sunday paper here.

Thanks, Dr. Lecter.
Looks like a movie with "where are they now" actors.

Looks like a movie that will open with a PTA of $300 at most, singalising that it should have gone DTV.

Reminds me of Uncle Nino, The Adventures of Johnny Lingo and The Painting. All of which showed at my local theater in the past two years.

The strange thing is this movie is being released in 6 theaters in Las Vegas which is quite high for a limited release.

When I went to see Uncle Nino, it was me and my sister and one other guy who left about 10 minutes into the film.
There were two other people when I saw The Adventures of Johnny Lingo.
Though it was the second highest grossing theater nationwide for Hustle and Flow.

I've been staying out of the box office stuff, but I do wish I would have commented in the predictions thread about how I thought people were lowballing Dukes of Hazzard before this theater count was released. I made mention of it in the yahoo thread last week, that the weak competition could lead to a huge breakout for this, and everybody seemed more focused on Stealth being a huge bomb, and were projecting some of that feeling on their conservative Dukes of Hazzard predictions, and I have a feeling that DOH won't only stand for the initials of the movie, but the way most of you guys are going to feel when those Friday numbers come in. #-o

All updated. The Island lost an even 1000 theaters. Wedding Crashers added 76 more. 765 sneaks for The Great Raid; that's a lot more than I'd have expected.

All counting for The Island, I suppose....
Even though, it won't matter. These sneaks will be EMPTY.

Well, what do you mean by a "huge breakout"?

Wow Island dropped 1000 theatre exactly. That does happen to much.

Actual count is 76 theaters. About 20 of them are in the Atlanta area? What the heck?

The Great Raid's estimate is interesting...this movie is going to bomb beyond belief.

I agree it looks terrible and I don't think that anyone has interest in the film at all.

It's interesting because it has almost the same number of theaters for sneaks as it does on opening weekend.
