According to The Hollywood Reporter, here are how industry insiders put their estimates for the openers:
The Island - might not cross $20M
Bad News Bears - $12-15M
Hustle & Flow - $8-10M
The Devil's Rejects - didn't give a number

It would be damn shameful if The Island can't even cross $20 million this weekend considering Riddick made $24 million last year.

"Didn't give a number" doesn't mean anything.
The fact that myself and seven of my friends are completely psyched for tomorrow night does, though.
This film is going to surprise a lot of people on Saturday morning, methinks. The following HO1C has developed on video is being hugely underestimated.

The only surprise comes Saturday morning when the news reports 7 friends being lobotomized after viewing this..... Who knows?? Maybe it will do decent and maybe it won't.. I really don't see it performing any better than the 1st film though and maybe this should've gone straight to DVD/VHS??

STV? Yeah right! It should do 20 Million in theaters and 25-30 Million in rentals. It never would make that much in rentals had it gone STV though. Releasing it in theaters increases awareness and makes sure more see it on DVD. And of course it will perform better than the first. The first opened with only 3.5 Million (which was amazing for it and in only like 595 theaters) and went on to make over 12 Million. Then of course it did over 24 Million in rentals, which alone would boost its fanbase enough to make sure it opens with a nice chunk more than the original did when it's in almost three times as many theaters as that one was.

Which? Eating Out? No I haven't. I really want to but it was only in limited release and didn't play around me. I can't wait to see it this next week though. It hits DVD Tuesday. Ryan Carnes ( Desperate Housewives) is a hottie and he goes full frontal in the movie \:D/.

Quote: Scarlett Johansson's boobs are like, the most awesome things ever. Seriously; they didn't have to [badly] airbrush them for the poster of "The Island" which is this weeks hotshot new release; because they actually radiate all by themselves. She also looks seriously hot with blonde highlights. Its inexplicable. Pros of the Island We get to see Scarlett Johansson in a body hugging suit Written by the people from "Alias" Cons of The IslandWe get to see Ewan McGreggor in a body hugging suit Directed by Michael Bay
