They should of kept Blade Trinity at its august release going up against AVP. It really looks like O12 is taking a big chunk from all the movies even Blade Trinity. I guess its just New Lines stupid thinking to open a vampire movie in december

Why??? So AVP could stomp it in the ground like Ocean's 12 is doing??? AVP would've destroyed BLADE 33, er, I mean BLADE III..

Would it be possible for you to show the kind of devotion towards The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and Spirited Away as you do towards AVP?

If so, I'd greatly appreciate it :D

Especially Spirited Away, though.

Oh and roid, what about that "Ocean's Twelve - What Went Wrong"-Thread? :P

No Friday Numbers Analysis today, unfortunately. School and that "most profitable" chart took quite a bit of time today, but there will be an analysis next week, I promise. :)

For the TOP 10, these are my projections:

1. Ocean's Twelve - $42.4 million
2. Blade: Trinity - $17 million
3. The Polar Express - $10.1 million
4. National Treasure - $9.6 million
5. Christmas with the Kranks - $7.5 million
6. The Incredibles - $4.8 million
7. Closer - $3.9 million
8. The Spongebob Squarepants Movie - $3.6 million
9. Finding Neverland - $1.6 million
10. Alexander - $1.3 million

Not bad at all for O12. I'm dissapointed with the numbers for Blade: Trinity, doesn't look like it will make it past $60-$70 million.

It aint over  . I could only hope for a saturday drop in numbers for Ocean 12. Even if Im wrong I believe in the end I would win muhahaha. Kind of like how I was wrong on Closer but my total projection for that movie may come true since the movies dropping close to 50% even with theater expansion. Im the marathon runner man, I may not sprint faster than others but in the long term I would win  .

Oh and as far as AVP goes, that has to be the most front loaded movie and worst of the year BKB

Blade would have made much more in the August release date even with 'AVP', I know which one I would rather go see

 Did you manage to post that with a straight face??? BLADE 33, er I mean BLADE III did shit this weekend compared to OCEAN'S 12.. Given the fact that AVP opened up at 39 Million for the weekend, how do you figure Blade III would've beaten it??? :?

Don't you think that AVP would have opened lower if it went against Blade: Trinity...?

it wouldnt have beaten it, thats for sure, but it would've made more from the weekend and cut into AVP's 39million. C'mon its more of a summer movie than a winter flick.

Let's face it. Summer helps all movies. Whether it's a bomb or a mega-hit already, summer helps. And, it would have helped Blade: Trinity big time. Maybe putting it against AVP still would have been a bad idea, but it could have moved to the following week, or atleast picked a much better release date. When you move to a release date where the average movie-goer is not interested in blood sucking vampires, and you have a blockbuster hit coming out that very same weekend, you're high if you keep it there. New Line was high.

I think the weekend after AVP's would have been great. AVP dropped hard and Exorcist: The Beginning is hardly any serious competition. Blade: Trinity would have topped $25 million at least.
