After all that wait it will skimp to $12-14M off of a $110M+ (possibly $130M) budget. Won't even cover marketing. Also WB released a LOTR film to $5M and wouldn't release a critically acclaimed potential last film of Clint Eastwood wide or the Looney Tunes movie? WB are trash. They actually made LOTR unappealing. Good look with the Gollum film. Juror No.2 could have made $50m+ domestically over Christmas.

If Wicked followed Frozen 2 from here, it would get to 490m.

 Re: December 13-15 Predictions
Interestingly that 1978 LOTR cartoon movie could make more than this version! It made $30.5M domestic, unadjusted with 46 years of inflation the new one may not reach it.

 Re: December 13-15 Predictions
I watched the 1978 version in school in the 80s and remember liking it though it was only half the story. That film still looks better than Rohirim.

I remember at least it gave part 1 a cool ending with Gandalf being called in to kick some ass. But I think I liked the animated Hobbit more.

Animated Hobbit is great, better than the PJ Hobbit films, i used to watch the hell out of the vhs growing up in the 80s.

 Re: December 13-15 Predictions
Funny I just watched all of those last week. The animated Lord of the Rings, at least during the Fellowship part, is more of a blueprint for Peter Jackson's trilogy than the books are lol. They both skip the old forest, Tom Bombadill, Glorfindel, etc... I enjoyed it alot, but I didn't realize that people went into the movies expecting the full story, and that both The Hobbit and The Return of the King were made by different people. Very weird.

 Re: December 13-15 Predictions
Monday #'s
1. WICKED ($2.5M) -25.4% / $361.7M 2. MOANA 2 ($1.8M) -29.0% / $303.7M
Holiday #'s are slowly starting to kick in. Last weekend's openers are already forgotten but the spikes Wicked and Moana see leading into Christmas will depend a lot on Mufonic.

Wicked will end up dusting Moana.

 Re: December 13-15 Predictions
Wicked is technically now at a 3.215X multiplier from its 3day opening. $507M finish would give it 4.5X but still think it could get farther.
