Re: WOKJ Monthly Contest- Sept/Oct (Beetlejuice due by Fri.) January is definitely better for Flight Risk. It looks like a decent hit to me. Mel Gibson's movies are usually well-reviewed and it's based off a Black List script. I didn't even watch the trailer before having to predict it in this and it looks surprisingly fun.

But this is still DC. I did track 1st Joker movie but that was more regional and it had a strong presales start that is missing for this movie.

According to The Numbers https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Front-Room-The-(2024)#tab=box-office The Front Room grossed about $1.6 million in its opening weekend. Keyser's score should be about 0.9, not 2.5. Other people's scores were also affected.

We're decent enough at analysing AFTER THE FACT, but we know fuck all about predicting how a movie will perform. We do what anybody can do. The real money is in knowing things before they happen. And we weren't even fucking close. Nobody was even in the ball park. Pathetic.
