Seems good for Inside Out to be under 40% from last Friday

Almost everyone was off yesterday so expect Saturday increases to be small.

Hm. 3.1m for Maxxxine, if this also includes previews Deadline really overestimated it. Still good for it though.

Kinds of Kindness doubled its theater count and still dropped 63% from last weekend. Lol I figured WoM would be awful.

MaXXXine was very front-loaded. Will it get to 20 Million? I'm not sure. Longlegs appeals to the same audience and will be stealing all of the buzz next weekend

Despicable Me sold a near identical number of tickets as the 3rd in 5 days.

Looks set for a 320ish million finish. Really solid for a franchise running on fumes at this point.

Despicable Me films (this latest movie but I believe most of them) over-index with Hispanic audiences. Not sure why that's the case but it's interesting.

4th big blockbuster success in a row overindexing with Latino/Hispanic audiences (BB3, Inside Out, AQP, DM4)!

Some interesting stats:
-According to McKinsey, non-Latino white Americans see films 2.3X a year. Latinos 3.3X.

-In 2020, the Hispanic population’s median age was 30, while median age of the non-Hispanic population was 41.1, according to U.S. Census.

Those figures seem like a good sign for Mufasa and Joker which were massive in the Latin American market. Brazil ($17.9M) and Mexico ($18.7M) were huge OW for TLK 2019 almost the same OW's as UK and France. Joker made $43M+ in Mexico and $34M+ in Brazil. Feels like Mufasa with African American AND Latino AND family AND Christmas crowd AND nostalgia will help it still do well.
