Re: The Dark Knight Rises Pre-Sales and Sellout Watch
all the imaxs in MA sold out by 12:30!! grrrrrrrrrrr! So I waited in a 15 minute line to pick up tdkr tickets at the que for normal midnight screening. The woman working said "god damn, the thing ran out of printing paper two hours ago" while i waiting What happens when every theater has 3+ midnights sold out a week before release?

Hell, it's the only real IMAX screen in Houston that will be showing the film. There are still tickets for the 3:15 AM showing. I'm going to a 8:30 AM showing on Saturday morning.

So Nolan has many fans these days. Insomnia is the only film of his that the general public didn't like. Of course that was a R rated movie about a Robin Williams-serial killer in Alaska which made it a tougher sell.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Pre-Sales and Sellout Watch
The imax's by me are doing:
11:59 PM, 3:30 AM, 11 A.M. 2:30 PM 530 PM 8:30 P.M. 11.59 PM etc etc
all weekend. 800 seater. Each showing should be $8,000. If every showing sells out, that is $144,000 for the weekend. From one imax theater.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Pre-Sales and Sellout Watch
Didn't realize they were on sale and selling out already. Glad I saw this. Bought mine just now. I've only ever been to an IMAX once before this.
The theaters here never sell out as quick as everywhere else so no sell outs to report yet.

Regal Thorton IMAX in Seattle has now sold out 3:15am showing. That didn't happen for Harry Potter or Avengers.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Pre-Sales and Sellout Watch
My post from another thread Quote: Just bought two tickets for the midnight IMAX in Silver Spring, MD. The manager was surprised they were almost sold out. They added 3:30 regular shows and said tickets were moving much faster than for The Avengers. Ticket prices are $18 each.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Pre-Sales and Sellout Watch
As far as I can tell, every one of the first midnight (12:01 am) showings of TDKR has sold out in the city of Toronto...
I did not think TDKR would pass The Avengers' OW, but I don't recall anything close to TDKR's pace. I'm starting to re-consider this...

You should have reconsidered it since the film was officially announced EDIT: O, you edited your post

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Pre-Sales and Sellout Watch
It will be a huge battle between TA and TDKR in Canada.
Both will reach the levels of two of the biggest ever...
TDK and Spider Man 1.
(yes Spider Man 1 made more here then TDK, shocking...)
