Here is my take.

01. THE RING TWO - $36,000,000 (NEW) $36,000,000 (another dissapointing opener, it looks like those Regals had to be big jerks)
02. ROBOTS - $21,825,000 (-39.5%) $66,867,000 (It will get nowhere near Shark Tales or Ice Ages numbers now)
03. THE PACIFIER - $12,542,000 (-30.9%) $72,283,000 (It look like a great chance candidate for $100 million now).
04. ICE PRINCESS - $7,013,000 (NEW) $7,013,000 (Ha)
05. HITCH - $6,600,000 (-24.9%) $159,445,000 (Impressive, it will be the second highest grossing February release of all time).
06. BE COOL - $5,800,000 (-43.4%) $47,203,000 (It won't hit 60 million)
07. HOSTAGE - $5,797,000 (-43.2%) $19,311,000 (Pretty much what I expected)
08. MILLION DOLLAR BABY - $4,080,000 (-20.8%) $90,002,000 ($100 million is still within reach
09. DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN - $2,500,000 (-48.7%) $47,765,000 (lower drop than expected)
10. CONSTANTINE - $2,300,000 (-40.1%) $70,357,000 (See #9)
11. THE UPSIDE OF ANGER - $1,938,000 (+816.1%) $2,214,0001 (Great hold in the PTA)

Going down the list, congrats to Aviator for being Marty's very first $100 million grosser. Impressive for Melinda and Melinda, could this be hit for Woody Allen. That is also an encouraging hold for Millions. Hopefully it can expand more.

I think comparing The Grudge and Ring Two (gross-wise) is not right because The Grudge opened in October, the week before Halloween and Ring Two opened in the middle of March. Had The Grudge opened in mid-March it would have made around $25m and had the Ring Two opened in October it would have made around $50m.

As I said before, THE RING TWO, ROBOTS and THE PACIFIER will all make it past $100 million. All of them will be helped out by the fact that spring break starts soon for most.

The Ring Two won't make $100 million at this point. It'll follow Red Dragon at best, and make around $90 million.

I'm sticking to it. I think it will just barely make it, probably finishing with around $101 million.

With its WOM, The Ring 2 will be lucky to get $80M.

That is really sad that The Ring 2 will, at best, be only be the third highest March grosser. It could be all the way down to fourth or fifth highest if Guess Who and/or Miss Congeniality 2 surprises.

While what Regal did probably affected The Ring 2's gross, but honestly, it still wouldn't have reached $40 million if that hadn't had happened.

But spring break is coming up and it should have decent weekday numbers. I guarantee that by the end of next weekend it will be at $65 million at least.

I'm pleased with THE RING TWO's opening...Not the saturday drop however.

Hopefully spring break will carry it passed $100,000,000 eventually.

Definately not a dissapointment for the studio. It's still the 3rd biggest opening movie this year.

50%+ drop next weekend however.

From What I know, due to gross sharing dispute with Dreamworks, Regal assigned only a few screens in its 550 theaters. That reduced the saturation limit for The Ring 2.

So basicaly, Regal sent a polite 'fuck off' to Dreamworks because they wanted more money than Regal was ready to give?

Nice one.

Wondering what will they do to Lucas for SWIII.

Think he demands quite a share from first few weeks.

If Regal only has 550 theaters, than the gross should have not been affected that much.

Good to see The Ring 2 bomb even if it kills my score.I think people are getting tired of horror films.

The Ring Two did not bomb. It did very good for a horror movie even if it did not hit $40m.
