Too high of a budget for Killers. It's as if Universal budgeted it.

It's by far the highest budget for a film distributed by Lionsgate, I believe.

Dumb budget by LG.

These movies get that type of gross MAX.

Must be, yes. And I don't get why. I assume Heigl, Kutcher and the director were paid $10+ million each...?

Great budget for KK. I don't know how much action A-Team has, but it should have a lot, so that's an OK budget for it there.

KK will be extremely profitable. Looks like a sequel is definitely in cards for it.

A-team not so much. Sure it has lots of action but I heard the first couple of scenes have shaky cam action and is very distracting. But later action scenes are awesome. Anyways there will be no sequel to this. The best it can hope for is DH4 type of legs.

Hmm as expected A-Team has a bigger budget than TKK.

I think TKK will be solid moneymaker. All the opening day shows were sold out here. The opening weekend should also be great OS so I am thinking about 170-175M OS and 300M WW for this. For a 40M budget this is almost "lock" to get a sequel

A-Team though with the opening of expected 30-35M should be able to recover costs. I think Fox has done a good job marketing this and being an action movie I think it can make 150M OS. A total of 250M WW is what I see and that would mean a profitable movie though not moneymaker.

Sequel for TKK looks guaranteed and A-Team might still have a chance if it opens with good numbers OS and somehow crawls to 300M WW.

The Karate Kid should make back it's production budget in just three days. That hasn't happened for awhile I don't think.

47m is not that poor for JH but the tracking has been so poor and WB just dumped the movie which makes this budget looks to awful. Agree with Lecter on profits though.

Any info on TS3? I assume it's something around $170 million.

In regards to Toy Story 3's production costs, Disney has not yet given an official number, but I estimate the film's budget around $190 million when comparing it to past Pixar movies.

http://blog.boxofficespy.com/2010/06/to ... ction.html

Wikipedia is also saying it to be the same number

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toy_Story_3

Though these sources are not 100% correct and there might be tax benefits involved

So K&D has a 125m budget. Some say 95m budget....not sure which is true. Maybe it is 95 after tax credits.

95m will be a good number even if it is after Tax credits. Actually 125m is OK but since the movie is tracking so poorly that seems to be very high

Smart of them to keep the budget relatively low. These Twilight films alone help Summit to finance all of their other films each year.

Darn it the action scenes will be more crappier in this one again. Can't they have just spent like 20m extra on this one and made it technically sound at least

Why? They don't need to. It's not like this franchise ever relied on having good production values, acting, directing, action, etc.

Ha ha that is true. Still if they tend to attract more male audience (and this movie have that potential) they need to have good graphics this time around since the movie is heavily dependent on Fight scenes and rapid vampire/werewolf transitions and chases

With the image that the series has by now there's no chance for it to start attracting more male moviegoers.

Hmm true but good WOM can make wonders don't you think? Vampires and Werewolves are traditionally male attractions though I still agree that the teens have spoiled the reputation of this series. Also Summit does not seems to be targeting males with their current marketing

I wasn't aware that they were. Look at all the vampire TV shows, all of them are female skewing. Probably the most popular novel series about vampires ever (before Twilight at least) those god damn Anne Rice novels were almost completely female skewing. Etc...
