This won't drop Saturday ... it is an Adult movie.
I expect legs like Hostage, and a Small increase Saturday to around 14 million.

Sin City is falling 15%+ tommorow, and I'm willing to bet Mel Gibson's soul on that!

According to Bruce at The-Numbers, they do not update their box office data from Friday when the actuals are released, therefore the percentage drops could be off.

Nice opening for Sin City, but I got to say that this movie is NOT going to make 100 million. It's very similar to Kill Bill in style and story essentially so it should cool off about 70 million. I saw about 8 people walk out of the 1845 show on Friday which had about 40% fullness. Personally, I think the movie is very love it or hate and I thought it was okay, not great but probably worth a second look the more I have talked and thought about it.

I would be shocked if it dropped more than the RING II which is plummeting quick and besides, SIN CITY is much better than the RING II and should reflect that..

No and I have no desire to either, especially after the 1st movie which was an overrated, blown out of proportion PG-13 Horror movie that wasn't scary in the least bit and sort of shocks me how many teens think this movie is.. I don't get it, I mean literally, I don't get it.. It just isn't.. Plus, considering how fast RING II is falling, I'd say others must feel the same way..There's only 1 horror movie I'm looking forward to and it's 2 weeks away from beating every horror movie we've had thus far, R-Rating and all..

I thought that was the case. Your comment seemed to suggest otherwise. I'd not recommend it to you though if you didn't like the original.

R rating. Not that I think it will drop more, but it's certainly possible.

Sin City's Friday number is all over the place.
BOM has it at $12M, Lee's Movie Info has it at about $11.5M, and The Numbers has it at $12.5M.

Hey, it dropped over 20% at my theater today, so there. I think it might manage like 9.5 million today.

remember, that there have been films that have not done to great at your theater that have done awesome business in other theaters.

I can remember when I saw T3 it was Spy Kids 3D opening day, and how I saw a bunch of people going into it. I posted that on a forum, and everyone was like theres no way that will be number one even if you saw alot of people going to see that.

Well, I just got in.
I was expecting Sin City to break out and gross around mid-20's.
didn't know or think it would do that good.
Excellent movie, Spectacular Friday.
I think it has a small chance of passing $100m. It all depends on its second weekend.
But as most agree, it probably won't.
Beauty Shop did a tad lower than I thought (not taking into perspective knowledge of Wed/Thurs grosses)
As for Upside of Anger..... I don't know why some posters think it didn't do that well or why they predicted it so high.
First off, there aren't too many big names attached to it. They're trying to sell it as a romantic comedy with an indie release, and most importantly, it only expanded to 1100 theatres. I think it should end up with a PTS of around $4,200-4,500 and around $4.7-4.9 million
They should keep expanding it around 500 or so mroe theatres each week. If word of mouth builds, it could collect over $30 million, which I think would be pretty great. If it stops here it should still be able to get $15m at least
