Well I can't wait to say "I told you so" when it opens to over 50 Million . I'm not some crazy fanboy overpredicting it because I want to see it. I am not expecting it to be as great as The Ring at all and I'm actually thinking it will be disappointing, just like I figured it would be all along. I don't have a problem separating my personal feelings about a movie from my predictions, and I'm not even a "Ring" fanboy. But it's just obvious to me the movie will be freakin' huge. Most theaters have it on at least two screens (unless they are small theaters with only like 3-4 movies playing) and plus it's in over 3,200 theaters, which is a lot. The reviews won't stop this one from opening huge. It's going to be attracting all ages, young and old. It will have big drops, no doubt, but it will definitely open huge.

The Ring Two $58 million
Ice Princess $15.0 million
I think The Ring Two is going to do great, but its going to be very frontloaded, and it will quickly lose steam, and start dropping hard. Ice Princess will make Disney happy, and open higher than expected, due to the strong marketing campaign, and good theatre count, plus the good reviews won't hurt it.

Oh okay, so I'll bring my 2 year old nephew and my 80 year old grandma to see it!

No one brings anyone under 5 or above 75 to movies by and large, let alone 2 and 80. C'mon, let's not twist around people's words here.

Wow, if these come true I'll get a zero for Ice Princess and almost a zero for Ring Two.
Good strategy though, you may have a chance to beat me now.

Actually, I wanted to predict 60m for The Ring Two and about 11m for Ice Princess, but after Passion of the Christ I wanted to play a safe game and these were my final Derby predictions:
1. The Thing Three - $46M
2. Robocop - $23M
3. The Prisoner - $11.8M
4. Fire Sickness - $8.3M
5. Witch - $6M
6. Postage - $5.6M
7. Will Be Hot - $5.2M
8. Billion Molar Gaby - $3.2M
9. Fiary of a Slack Sad Woman - $2.5M
10. Valentine - $1.9M
@ Nebs: You did the only right thing: you made different predictions than Ragnarok and now you can hope that he is wrong...
I'll do the same in the Duels Game with DP07 (he leads with 6%) and I'll try to risk a bit...

Robots $23.20 m
The Pacifier $12.80 m
Ice Princess $12.70 m
Hitch $6.53 m
Hostage $5.26 m
Be Cool $5.10 m
Million Dollar Baby $3.23 m
Constantine $2.48 m
Diary of a mad black woman $2.42 m
Ragnarok copied my predictions.........again. I'm actually like a million lower for Ice Princess in the Derby. I increased it for the other games after the Yahoo numbers made me a bit more confident. My real prediction is 13.5m for that one.

Deadline is up. Were those your predictions for Duels?
I need the openers to do well.

No, these were my predictions:

2. Robocop - $23M
3. The Prisoner - $12M
4. Fire Sickness - $8M (well, this looks rather stupid and boring, like Raise Your Voice)
5. Witch - $5.6M
6. Postage - $5.5M
7. Will Be Hot - $5.2M
8. Billion Molar Gaby - $3.2M
9. Fiary of a Slack Sad Woman - $2.4M
10. Valentine - $1.8M
What were yours?

I'm very confident in my holdover predictions, and I generally have an idea with The Ring Two ($45-60 mil. area, which seems like a huge range, but in terms of score, it's not too bad, since it's such a big gross), but Ice Princess I'm totally lost with. I could see it going anywhere from $5 million to $14 million over the weekend. I originally had it with $6 million, and then upped it to $8 million for the derby due to pressure (I'm going to kill myself if I raised it for the worst! Dang you majority people!). And I raised it again to $9.5 million for the Duals/Ultimate Champion games. We'll see what happens. Anyways, here are my predictions:
DERBY
The Ring Two - $48.3 million
Robots - $21.9 million
The Pacifier - $12.2 million
Ice Princess - $8.0 million
Hitch - $5.7 million
Hostage - $5.6 million
Be Cool - $5.2 million
Million Dollar Baby - $3.4 million
Diary of a Mad Black Woman - $2.4 million
Constantine - $2.0 million
ULTIMATE CHAMPION/DUELS
The Ring Two - $49.3 million
Robots - $22.5 million
The Pacifier - $12.2 million
Ice Princess - $9.5 million
Hitch - $5.7 million
Hostage - $5.6 million
Be Cool - $5.1 million
Million Dollar Baby - $3.4 million
Diary of a Mad Black Woman - $2.4 million
Constantine - $2.0 million
PEACE, Mike
