Think National Treasure will pass the 200 million mark also?

Eh, Spongebob did pretty well on Saturday. National Treasure is a big hit. Congrats to The Grudge, though. I had my doubts that it would even surpass $90 million, but now it's almost at $110 million.

My question would be would they attach the Batman trailer to Blade or Oceans 12. Oceans 12 is Warner brothers right but I dont particularly think they will attach it since the people who see Oceans 12 may not necessarly see Batman. But Blade is a different story since its a comic book but its a Marvel movie too

 Spongebob barely edges out Closer. Not a bad weekend for it since it held on to its rank and fell less than the Incredibles did. It continues to have a really odd performance.

It just won't die!

I don't remember who said it, but it does look to be the Pirates of the Carribean of 2004, only in a smaller scale.

That was me. :P

Good for Closer, but that was mainly due to prerelease hype including some spreads in popular magazines (4 pages in Time). I expect bad WoM to spread now and for it to fall short of expectations.

I'm happy about National Treasure, that's my kind of family movie that I wish we had more of.

There doesn't seem to be "bad" WOM so much as mixed. Like the reviews, some love it and some hate it.

I don't think there is bad WOM either. Just mixed or divided, but not universally bad as for Alexander, Catwoman, The Village, or Hulk.

Yeah I overstated it with the word "bad". Just there was so much hype, Time was practically calling it a milestone that will revolutionize modern movies, that even mixed seems bad in comparison.
