 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
That number for Wolf Man is abysmal. Looks like 15m opening at best with that.
How did the 2010 one open to 31m (45m) adjusted? That was where my idea that this would overperform came from. Character is extremely popular among horror fans.
Universal really bungled this one. Done well, should have been a 100m hit.

 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
Hopefully One of Them Days is a surprise hit. We might see it in theaters based on the buzz.

Based on its trailer 2010 movie is a different genre as more like a werewolf version of Frankenstein with 1800s style setting, compared to just a typical survive in the woods horror with a wolf to make it slightly fresher than zombie or slasher. But I'm surprised 2010 did decent since I have 0 memory of it coming out.

Will be close, maybe a split between 3 day and 4 day weekends? I wish I had made a Wolf Man vs Dog Man thread before it was too late.

 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
Deadline has Wolf Man with a 12 Million 4-Day, and One of Them Days with 13 Million. Mufasa is looking at #1 with 16 Million over the 4-Day.
Big ouch for Wolf Man, and terrible in general for a holiday weekend.

 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
I'm guessing One of Them Days RT is a bit inflated due to critics feeling pressure to support it, but happy to see a comedy pull an upset on a horror!

 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
Forgot this was MLK Jr weekend. I remember when that was supposed to have a good opener.

 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
I don't know who wouldn't have thought it would do better than that. That's just ridiculously awful.

 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
One of them Days is #1! However, its by such a small margain that it makes you wonder lol. I bet it has a suspiciously large drop on Monday so that it holds onto the 3 day lead while Mufas wins the 4 day by a comfortable amount.
Wolf Man is a classic box office flop where we didn't have mountains of data forecasting it in advance.

 Re: January 17-20 Predictions
The smaller movies are really stealing the show. Totals so far below:
Nosferatu $90,201,000 A Complete Unknown $58,379,001 Babygirl $25,802,375 The Brutalist $5,865,894 (very solid expansion) The Last Showgirl $3,380,108 The Substance $16,774,179
ACU hasn't gotten an Oscar nods yet and is already on its way to $70M+. Nosferatu $110M+, Babygirl $30M+.
