Re: WOKJ Monthly Box Office Contest - May/June
See anything to add for July/August slate?
Despicable Me 4 MaXXXine Fly Me to the Moon Twisters Deadpool and Wolverine Harold and the Purple Crayon
Borderlands It Ends With Us Trap Alien: Romulus Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2 Blink Twice The Crow
Maybe They Listen, it doesn't have a trailer but the last week of August has nothing on it so it could potentially be a real horror release.

Re: WOKJ Monthly Box Office Contest - May/June
Longlegs is going wide. I know it says limited on the release schedule, but tickets are on sale now and it's for sure going wide. I'd say 2,000+ theaters.
Would also love if we could include NEON's other horror movie, Cuckoo, with Hunter Schaefer and Dan Stevens. That's also wide.
I think they'd be fun to predict. The more movies included the merrier. I think most wide releases should be included.

To be fair, all they needed to do was add "Yellowstone" in there and it would have done $30M+.

I went by O and what Empire was hyping in Social Media. Otherwise I would not have gone so high. Blame O for sure :-)

Guess Costner doesn't have much pull compared to Gibson with heartland audiences. I was just joking. I had no idea what to predict for these movies anyway and there was no cheat code for this movie from my perspective Anyway its not as if this movie was the reason someone lost or won. The game was over once IO2 opened.

Feels like Twisters is going to be the movie that could make/break a lot of the next round if it does break out big.

Re: WOKJ Monthly Box Office Contest - May/June
Problem is most of the movies in the next game are unknown. Either all of them under perform and so the best game plan is to go low. 3 movies are expected to open > 50m. You could have 100 points at the end if you are off on couple of them as well :-)

Re: WOKJ Monthly Box Office Contest - May/June
IO2 decided the game. This time around August do not have big movies and so I expect the big 3 DM4, Twisters and Deadpool to decide the winner.
