Sin City is going to have short legs. Anyone who was truly eager already saw it, and might see it next weekend again due to weak opposition, but many people aren't going to bother due to the violence. Anyone who is though, will go during the weekend. This is not a light after-work weekday movie. It will have disproportionately high weekend numbers to weekday ones imo.

Every other week in April seems to have a movie that will have a good/ok opening but not so well legs:
sin city
amityville
xxx2

(yes I'm predicting the last two)

When did violence become a turn off in films? Moreover, why didn't I get the memo?

Not very good for Sin City. Robots had a great increase though.

It met my expectations, it should stay over 2 million for the week. If it increases on par with Hostage's first Thursday to second Friday, which i don't think will be too hard especially with no NCAA this weekend, that would still give it 5 million Friday and then 16 million for the weekend WITH a week weekend multiplier which it might not even nessecarily do.
