I am beginning to doubt it will ever get released. And if it does it will probably take the route of Equilibrium, another good film that got dumped into theaters and made almost no money and quickly hit the discount DVD section.

This has to be the worst release date for mindhunters so far. With most parents taking their kids to see Madagascar, and teens seeing Star Wars and the Longest Yard, there aren't going to be many people left to see the latest Val Kilmer movie.

There's a very simple explanation for Mindhunters: someone doesn't want it to succeed. Somehow, I see this being the "final resting place" for Mindhunters, where it will fail against stiff competition. I guess it will also get the smallest of wide releases, too (1000 theatres?).

actually Mindhunters is a good movie, the storyline is kinda smart. i like it. i don't know why the studio keep on moving the movie from one to another, i think maybe because of the cast, like Val Kilmer, and Christian Slater.

I think that the real reason is that the Weinsteins hate the final cut of this movie.

If they like a movie, they will do anything to support it.(ie. Fahrenheit 9/11).
