Losing Touch and Spaceman are my favorites. I like The Killers most when they go big.
As a whole, definitely lives up to my expectations. Need more listens though.

Yeah, it gets better and better for me too, the Killers are really one of the best bands period right now. I even like the maligned in this thread Joy Ride... there's really no song I don't like on here. Only one that comes close is Human because I've played it already a million times in the last month.
Re: The Killers - Day & Age - Nov.24 Spaceman second single
Hmm I think this might be the best Killers album so far. It's more complete and well rounded than Sam's Town IMO. I think literally every song works. I also like how they're getting more comfortable with alternative instruments. Some stuff like the horns on I Can't Stay or the xylophone thing on A Crippling Blow, etc. really add to the songs. The more they add to their repetoire, the better.
I also like how this even moreso than Sam's Town is sort of a concept album... I'm just happy to have any bands who take on subjects that aren't relationship songs. I mean I'm a romantic and all but there's just too much, it's like if 99% of movies were romantic comedies.
I can't understand how the critical world has completley ignored the last two/three albums. They're crazy good. Arcade Fire is the only band I'd put ahead on my list right now, in terms of favorites.

The critics are still hung up over Brandon's comments pre Sams Town. They should get over it and do their jobs properly. Hot Fuss was very well received though.
Im loving Day and Age too. Its surpassed Sam's Town for me which I love.
My current ranking (which changes regularily)
A Dustland Fairytale Spaceman This Is Your Life Neon Tiger Losing Touch I Can't Stay Human Joy Ride A Crippling Blow The World We Live In Goodnight, Travel Well

Losing Touch might be my favorite The Killers track ever. I felt like Day & Age was better than HF and ST since it came out. And I'm still convinced that's the case.
I don't get the remark about critics. All of their albums have had a similar approval.
