I'm looking for this rock song...
that I've heard on the radio. The guy sings a lot of "ohhhhhh", meaning he holds out a lot of notes with no words, after repeating the chorus (which I'm killing myself over for not remembering).
Any help? I feel stupid asking, but it's a great song. It's recent/new song, I believe.
PEACE, Mike

Yeah, I know, it's crappy.
With the description, I mean he holds out a lot of notes that he just sings, without words. A lot more than a regular song. You won't find another recent rock song like that.
Meh. I wish I could remember that one line.

There are a lot of words, the singing notes part is just really distinct. You wouldn't miss it.
Anyways, don't bother if it's too much of a trouble for you.

was this on rock or pop radio?
btw, it's not Green Day is it? It sounds like it from your description, but surely you've heard BOBD before.

Thanks matatonio and Pink for the help, but it's none of those songs.
Ahmed, I'm not really sure. It basically has the generic soft rock rhythmic music. Nothing distinct. At the end of the chorus, near the end of the song I believe, is when the guy starts "ohhhhh"-ing.
I don't know if I'll ever get this song, unless I happen to hear it again on FM96, my rock station where I live. I'm pretty sure it is a recent song.

No, it's not Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Green Day is one of my favourite bands, so it's definately not by them, as I would have recognized the song.

maybe it's Club Foot by Kasabian. Probably not though. The Widow by The Mars Volta is new and has some ohs in it. "I'll never sleep alone" is often repeated.

might be of some help.

The only one I thought of was This Love by Maroon 5, but I figure it's not, and I think that might be Whooooaaa. Not Ohhhhhhhh. Don't worry, Mike. We'll get it.

Mike, from your decription it sounds like it's long "oooh"s by a really good vocalist, that is trying to show some kind of feeling, I'm guessing longing or something? lol
The only recent song with oh's in it at the end is Jimmy Eat World's Work, but it doesn't really fit the above description.
Anything else you can say about the song? What do the vocals sound like? Deep, high-pitched, angry, melodic, I don't know? By slow would the song be comparable to Jet's Look What You've Done, something by Damien Rice?

I think I found your song, Pressure Point by The Zutons. It's pretty soft, there are a hell of a lot of Oh's in it, and it's just starting to hit radio. I dunno why I didnt think of it sooner.

Although those songs are good, none of them are the one.
@Dr. Lecter: Not really. The vocalist kind of slurred the words I guess, so I wasn't able to clearly hear any line that I could remember and use to search for the song. Or maybe I just wasn't listening close enough. I liked the song, anyways.
@Rusty: I'm pretty sure it is a recent song, although I could be wrong. The station, FM96 usually plays recent rock songs, but sometimes they're older.
@Rod: The song is not super slow, it's just "soft rock" as in not super hard rock.
Also, it's not "ooh" but "ohhhhh". And I think it may have been a trail off from the last word of the Chorus. They're longer "ohhh's", and they were musical (not just "oh" as in "oh, baby" or whatever).
Thank you so much to everyone who is trying to help. I appreciate it, greatly.
PEACE, Mike

I think at the end of the song it gets softer and in a way changes style pretty much (like it's a new song, but really it's the same song). However, I could be mixing this up with a song I already know.
Meh. Hopefully all this info. helps and you can throw out some more possibilities.
Again, thanks so much.
