Is it just me or do these guys just recycle the same song over and over and over again? And not just that, but the original wasn't all that to begin with! If it were up to me, these guys would be back in Sudbury playing in some red-neck bar with a bunch of other painfuly average amature bands. Sudbury ain't redneck. Well there's gotta be at least one of 'em. Ya but every city has a redneck. And why did you mention sudbury in the first place?
Because that's where they're from.

They're from somewhere in Alberta. Not Sudbury.

No, I'm pretty sure they're from Sudbury. That's how they got their name, from that big-ass nickel they have up there.
Anyway, it really doesn't matter, all that I meant to say is that they should go back to wherever the Hell they came from and play their loud, bland, kareokee bar music there - not on the radio!

I'm 100% sure they're not from Sudbury. They're from the west coast.

I actually kinda like country. I could never go out and buy a country cd but it's good radio music to me.

Wilco isn't really country...It's alt-country. Same with Ryan Adams.
They've got the accents (Well...kinda), but it's more like pop rock. Hell, the Wilco is like a combination of country, The Beatles, Radiohead, and Pink Floyd. Try it out. I love it. You might not.

Wilco - At least that's what you said
Well the song starts off sounded pretty sad but it ends up being a very fun upbeat song. I really like it even with the lack of lyrics.

Wilco - California Stars
An easy listener but still manages to rock out just enough for me to enjoy the song. It reminds me of a faster beat version of pink floyd's song wish you were here. Good song.

Wilco - Handshake Drugs
I'm starting to think that this band isn't very rockish but soft rock. But I still manage to enjoy the band and still I enjoyed this song. It's very soothing and very enjoyable. Good lyrics in it too.

Ya. The whole "A Ghost is Born" album is based on the lead singer's experience with painkillers. Strange addiction, lol.
None of the stuff is very hard. It's definitely rock, but it's got TONS of pop elements. It's fairly catchy stuff (well..the pre-Yankee Hotel Foxtrot stuff, such as "Monday" or "Hotel Arizona"). I don't think you can deny that the guitarists have some pretty neat licks and embellishments in even the slow songs, though.

With a name like Wilco I was expecting something more Zeppelin-esque but I got more of a floyd-esque sound. Still good though. Both of those bands are my in my top 3 so wilco does a good sound.
