Thanks!

I like Losing Touch but Joyride is meh. I get the feeling i'll like the album but much less than HF or ST and maybe even Sawdust.

But then again - these songs probably will sound MUCH better on the album.

Um... I know it's just one review, but... WOW.

Along it being an uber rave, the fact that he mentions the scale and ambition is even bigger than in Sam's Town here, makes me very excited.

Love that version of Spaceman and ADF sounds good too from what we can hear.

I love This Is Your Life and The World We Live In. So far I'd say it's on par with Sam's Town.

One thing I like about the Killers is how each album seems to have its own identity and feel. Day and Age is once again unique from the last two... it has sort of an outwordly groove to it that I really like. On first listen I'd rank it below Sam's Town and Sawdust and above Hot Fuss, but I'll keep listening, and I can't wait until the HQ/non youtube versions.

What flaming Magnus? What you said there makes perfect sense. I wont pretend to know as much about music as you guys, but I love The Killers music and your thoughts on them and this album is heartening.

Cant wait to listen to it.

It seems to be getting mostly good reviews, most of them around the 3 out of 5 stars rank.

My favorites so far are I Can't Stay and This is Your Life.

This Is Your Life and Neon Tiger are on constant rotation for me.

I freakin' love this album. 'Human', 'This is Your Life', and 'Goodnight, Travel Well' are all terrific.

Peace,
Mike

I have fallen in love with The World We Live In. It has a Tears For Fears sound to it that I'm really feeling.

Had my first listen tonight. Pretty good - though would rank it lower than the other three albums at this stage.

So far I like

Ranking of songs:

1. Spaceman
2. Human
3. Neon Tiger
4. A Dustland Fairytale
5. Losing Touch

Need further listens.

Updated the first post with all the tracks and some b-sides, hopefully we'll get Tidal Wave either tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah would love to hear Tidal Wave. The Oz version I have has "A Crippling Blow" as the 11th song on the album. Just had a brief listen.

So 3 B sides - I wish they'd just put them all on the album as its a bit short.

Good thing we still have their Christmas song coming and I heard that they have dozens of recorded songs that didnt make the album - so perhaps another B side album like Sawdust?? :)

I love Day & Age. It's probably the best album of the year for me. And I'm glad Day & Age turned this good. I love Hot Fuss, but Sam's Town was a disaster IMO.

2nd listen was so much better than the first. I'd still rank it below Hot Fuss/Sams Town but its growing on me and Im loving it. My only gripe is that the album is too short and they should have put Tidal Wave and the other B side on it (Crippling Blow is on my version).

The only complaint I have of this album right now is that there is not that "amazing" song on it. The album has more great songs than any other Killers album and the least amount of okay songs. It's a more full, complete album. But it doesn't have an amazing song like All These Things I've Done or Read My Mind. It lacks that.

I loathe Read My Mind.

Personally I think "Neon Tiger" is one of the better things they've done.

Only "Joy Ride" rubs me slightly the wrong way.

Joy Ride is terrible so its not just you. Neon Tiger is indeed one of the best songs on the album.

Though I still feel this album is too short. Take away three sub par songs (Joyride, World we live in and Goodnight) and your left with 7 songs. Too few.

The World We Live In is ridiculously good though. That one stood out to me and a few of my friends first listen.
