BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods in car crash, "serious condition"
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/player ... 586&spln=1Professional golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident early this morning, the Florida Highway Patrol just reported. Woods, 33, pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community about 2:25 a.m. when he struck a fire hydrant, and then drove into a tree at his neighbor's property, FHP reported. Woods was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition, FHP said. No other information about his condition has been released. A Health Central hospital employee said at 2:30 p.m. that Woods was not a patient. A hospital operator would not say if Woods had been treated and released. FHP said the airbags in Woods' Cadillac Escalade did not deploy, which means the vehicle was traveling under 33 mph. Orange County Fire Rescue received the call for aid at 2:28 a.m. Woods was transported from his Windermere-area neighborhood by the hospital's own ambulance. An Orange County Sheriff's Office official said his agency received it's call for assistance at 2:27 a.m. An operator was told the driver was injured and still inside the vehicle. FHP did not report the accident until just after 2 p.m. today. The agency said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending. According to his official website, TigerWoods.com, he is in the middle of a two-week break in tournament play. Woods next tournament is Dec. 3-6 at the Chevron World Challenge in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Don't you HATE it when fire hydrants run in front of your car? Trees would be my second biggest driving pet peeve.

Already said alcohol wasnt a factor, but wtf does "charges pending" mean? Was he high instead?

Driving has always been the weakest part of his game.

We will never get the real story but I guarantee he was drunk. You don't just hit a fire hydrant and then drive into tree when youre sober

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods in car crash, "serious condition"
If you want to venture guesses, I'd say it's more likely he was storming out of his house (or being thrown out) at 2am after arguing with his wife over all the affair rumors circulating the web, was upset, and hit the hydrant.
Tiger doesn't seem the drinking and driving type.

Tiger doesn't seem the drinking and driving type. I think that seems more likely.

Tiger doesn't seem the drinking and driving type. I agree, this seems like the most likely explanation, considering the time and that he was leaving his own house (and his wife was up). Peace, Mike

Ok now wait a minute: He pulled out of his driveway doing what 33 MPH, then hit a fire hydrant followed by a tree??? That's how this report reads within the 1st few lines above..Quote: Woods, 33, pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community about 2:25 a.m. when he struck a fire hydrant, and then drove into a tree at his neighbor's property, FHP reported.
Then it says:Quote: FHP said the airbags in Woods' Cadillac Escalade did not deploy, which means the vehicle was traveling under 33 mph. Christ, how fucking fast do you pull out of your driveway???

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods in car crash, "serious condition"
From TMZ:
Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren -- according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.
Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.
We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.
We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods in car crash, "serious condition"
I don't believe this.
The biggest reason why is if Tiger had been seeing someone else this would have already been in the tabloids and me reading it from a post by BKB brings it's validity to near 0%.
Second, TMZ got this from a conversation Woods had with a non lawenforcement type. Hearsay...
Third, Tiger does not seem like the type of person who would cheat on a supermodel whom he has two kids with.
Finally, the story presented doesn't make sense. She's chasing him with a golf club? That's ghetto and neither of them are ghetto.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods in car crash, "serious condition"
It actually was reported by 'National Enquirer' that he was cheating on her. http://chattahbox.com/entertainment/200 ... an-affair/And his wife IS foreign... so... But I'm hoping it's just an accident.

If it were anyone else but me that had posted this, are you suggesting that their validity on the same story I posted would be higher than mine??? And just because he's hooked up with a so called "super model" with 2 kids together doesn't make her any less of a pain in the ass to live with than any other woman who isn't a super model.. Woods is human like anyone else and if this super model isn't giving Tiger the love he needs and desires from her, then much like a dog, he'll stray and go elsewhere where he's treated better... And what's not to believe about a woman chasing some dude with a golf club after banging someone else while proceeding to damage his vehicle as well as him???

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Tiger Woods in car crash, "serious condition"
Just because she confronted him about it doesn't make it true. She's human, and he can't help what conjecture is written about him. It could all be false, but the fight that ensued because it was even alleged may have been very real, and seems the most likely scenario given what we know.
I mean, really, she had to take a golf club to smash out the BACK window, when his door, and the passenger side door were both operational? Sure.

Still don't get why the Police are still pursing this. Woods would have to agree to press charges as far as I know. And like any jury would convict Woods's wife without his testimony.

Even if they somehow found out that his wife did beat him and chased him with a club, nothing will happen.
