I've had Qdoba a bit lately. I like their gumbo and chips and guacamole.

I didn't know Qdoba had gumbo. I wonder if it's a regional thing?

Bump

What is your fav casual restaurant chain?

Me: Chili's

Better than Applebee's, BJ's, TGIF, Ruby Tuesday, and CPK...even if all frozen. Every time I go there, I'm shocked at how 'satisfactory' everything is. Had a mtg in the middle of nowhere last week and had the option of walking 0.3 miles to a Friday's or walking 0.9 miles to Chili's...technically, it was right across the street, but I couldn't cross the highway. Anyway, I went for Friday's...yuck.

Does Outback count?

If not, then I guess I vote TGI Friday's. I kinda hate Chili's.

I had a Chili's obsession until I was about 20 or so.

Libs, sure. Anywhere that is everywhere.

Magnus, me too but sometimes you're in the middle of nowhere and don't have options. Or at an airport.

Actually...I really like Fuddruckers. But I don't think they have table service.

Kinda funny that there's a lack of enthusiasm over the sit-down chains, even compared to their drive-thru brothers

TGIF is the worst.

Chili's, Applebees, etc. are all okay. I personally like Ruby Tuesday's.

Never go to chains, but Red Robin was good last time I went. Endless fries were yum.

Chillis sucks. As does TGIF and all that other shit. If I had to pick, it would be Pizzeria Unos. But I don't venture to those places really anymore. Either high-class shit or local stuff (or Five Guys).

Nice.

Red Robin for me, Applebees is alright as well. Chilli's is trash, they sucked so bad the chain eventually left Anchorage. The rest are good depending on what you get.

Red Lobster was ok when I was in the States, good but not great. Applebees is reasonably good though.

TGIF in Australia I think is better than the US one.

You have to dissagree with me in everything.

If I say you were straight what would you do?.

Olive Garden was really nice too in San Antonio.

Yeah Red Lobster is kind of awful other than the cheddar bay biscuits, which are heavenly.

sorry, but my statement was no more absurd than your own

good seafood can be in short supply, but settling for a RL is not an option

Saw ZDT today.

Took a quick detour on my way back to do a return. Happened to park next to a Georgetown Cupcake. Bought 13.

Luckily, I have a dinner party to attend tomorrow, so I had an excuse. I didn't really have an excuse to dive into a Key Lime so soon after lunch, though.

Still not my favorite (cupcakes are too sweet...always) but nice to see them in LA, and without an inexplicably long line, too!

I wish I lived in a place with cool restaurants and eateries. My town has a quickie-mart/laundromat and that is about all unless I want to drive 20 miles or go to Portland. Not even a McDonald's or Subway.

I've never had Crumbs, but I've had Sprinkles and don't get the hype. GT is much better because they are nicely sized, have a less-sugary base (like a muffin, almost), and have less frosting. They're still too sweet for me.

The LA shop had no wait at all. They were still slow. But, ya, tremendously overrated...but better than Sprinkles..and they're a DC chain.
